guru06! a new topic because I can't find the other one. You mentioned this one the past months and I've flipped it a few times for some decent money and bought back in a week ago because I thought it hit the bottom, and now Im a little excited because I just received an email from investors relations that a "long awaited pr will come out premarket next monday". Are you still in this?

International STAR Announces Chain Of Custody Precious Metal Results

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho, July 8, 1998 -- International STAR, Inc. (OTCBB: ISRI) announced today that it has received a report on the physical recovery of precious metals from chain of custody ore samples taken from its Arizona property located off US Highway 93 approximately twenty (20) miles south of Hoover Dam. STAR arranged with AuRIC Metallurgical Laboratories, Salt Lake City, Utah, to conduct a complete "chain of custody" on a a two ton sample collected on STAR's Arizona mineral property. The Company will focus entirely on putting this property into production.

AuRIC selected its two ton ore sample from a trench 1,000 yards long and 200 feet wide with a depth of 40 feet. AuRic personnel collected samples in tamper-proof sealed containers. All test samples remained in tamper-proof sealed containers under strict chain of custody at all times. One-half ton of ore was then processed by a recovery process (vat leaching) method which AuRic has stated represents a commercial recovery process for this mineralization. The process utilized will likely be used for commercial development of the project and the Company intends to begin the design and construction of a 40 ton per day pilot processing plant immediately. The design of the pilot plant will be by STAR's President Mr. Milo M. Larsen (a process engineer) and AuRIC Metallurgical Laboratories.

The recovery process on the one-half ton of ore produced a metal dore bar which when assayed and measured back to head-ore revealed the following recovered metals:

Metals Recovered *Per 1,000 lbs head-ore* *Per short ton head-ore*

Metal Troy oz Grams Troy oz Grams
Gold 0.406 12.628 0.812 25.256
Silver 0.712 22.146 1.424 44.291
Platinum 0.023 0.700 0.045 1.400
Palladium 0.009 0.280 0.018 0.560
The calculated head-ore value per ton using current metal prices is approximately $ 270 per ton.

AuRIC has calculated the recovery costs to be approximately $40 per processed ton. The Company estimates that the total production and recovery cost to be approximately $75 per processed ton.

AuRIC has shipped the metal bar to Chemex Laboratories in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada for analysis and third party confirmation.

Mr. Ahmet B. Altinay, Metallurgical Engineer and General Manager of AuRIC, stated, "The STAR ore was processed using a simple conventional recovery process (vat leaching) method which we believe represents a commercial recovery process for this mineralization. Separation of the various precious metals is routine. We intend to conduct concentrate tests on the mineralization and run an additional one-half ton bulk recovery test immediately."

The Company has contracted with Mr. Terry Christopher and Mr. Martin Blake, Canadian geologists with LS Capital Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: CHIP) of Houston, Texas, to assist the Company's evaluation of its property as well as the entire Detrital Basin Area where the Company's property is located.

Detrital Wash Project

Property and Location

The Detrital property is approximately 56 miles from Las Vegas, Nevada and is comprised of approximately 21,000 acres of land located 22 miles south of the Hoover Dam on U.S. Highway 93, Mohave County, Arizona. The property is leased for a period of 20 years with an option for renewal. Lease payment is in the form of a 2% net smelter returns (NSR) royalty from production, rental fees of $17,375.00 per year are payable to the U. S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM). (Photo Gallery)

History

Two historically documented sources found at the County seat archives in Kingman, Arizona provide insight into the creation of the Detrital Valley mineral wealth.

A major flood in early 1890's. This flood washed away approximately 15 major gold and silver mines overlooking the Detrital Wash on the West. These mining camps were among the most prolific and highest producing mines in the Western USA were known as Silverado, Excelsior, Prince Albert, Occidental, etc. According to County records, most of the mine stockpiles and tailing were washed into the Detrital Wash. The flood acted as a water cannon stripping the landscape and washing everything down into the valley below.
In 1982, County Historian, Roman Malach, in a book entitled "White Hills, Silverado in Mohave County" confirms the disaster in White Hills, the valuable gold camps, particularly Silverado that were lost to the flood and, the likely presence of an ancient river which flowed through the Detrital Valley. This river was likely the transporter of gold, silver, platinum and palladium to the Valley.
The flood and Ancient River likely contributed strongly to the Detrital Wash's current mineral content.

The Detrital Wash is "alluvial sand", in layman's terms that equates to a dried-up riverbed. The wash has no anomalies meaning that the normal sediment of elements in the riverbed is likely to be distributed proportionally in the sands 160 feet above the existing water table.

Testing

International Star Inc. has conducted testing on the property with documented assays of results performed by the laboratories. The results of these tests indicate potentially recoverable precious metals exists on the property.

Auric Laboratories of Salt Lake City, Utah performed a bulk sample testing under a chain of custody, from several tons. Two 1000-pound tests were performed and the metals recovered (see photo). Test results indicated the following weights for recovered metals, for which, we have shown the current market value as of: January 17, 2006
Gold .812 oz./ton at $561.30/oz. $455.78
Silver 1.294 oz./ton at $9.19/oz. $11.89
Platinum 0.042 oz./ton at $1,049.00/oz. $44.06
Palladium 0.020 oz./ton = $287.00/oz. $5.74
Total value of precious metal content $517.47

See our Press Release

Additional Testing Results Tend to Reflect Mineral Values

"In general, the results tend to reflect the Detrital Wash drainage presence marked by an elevated to anomalous values to extremely anomalous values. Gold values of the anomalous zones were mainly in the 0.01x ounces per ton range with one value of 0.15 (0.11 in retest) ounces per ton. Silver values were higher with anomalous values in the 0.50 ounces per ton and significant anomalous values approaching the 1.0-ounce per ton and the highest value of 1.5 ounces per ton. Platinum values were low with the highest at 0.024 ounces per ton and with minor association with gold and silver values. Highest palladium values were in the 0.007 plus range and are not considered statistically significant.

The results were usually found in the center of the wash with subsidiary anomalies located in the drainages that flow into it. Four zones have been identified for defining follow-up work. As well, the control samples have to be integrated into the database. The four zones identified appear to be related to the main Detrital wash but due to the spacing distances require re-location and evaluation in the field. It appears as well that some parts or all of the anomalous zones could be associated with subsidiary drainages into the main wash."

Prospective investors should note carefully that the company is primarily engaged in the exploration of precious metals mineral properties. Even though the limited testing program on the Detrital Wash and Wikieup indicate that precious metals may exist on both properties, we cannot assure you that an economically viable mineral deposit exists on either of the properties.

Although the Company has accumulated limited data from soil analysis and assays indicating the presence of gold, silver, platinum and palladium, extensive geological analysis and exploration efforts are required on both properties in order to validate the economical feasibility of mining production from either property.

free float is around 100M shares and around 130M shares are restricted and the biggest shareholder and chairman of the board is virginia kilpatrick shehee.

she is former state governor of Louisiana and Mrs. Shehee is one of the most well known businesswomen and philanthropists in the State of Louisiana. http://www.klic.com/vks.html her insurance company has invested more than 1M dollar in the last 2 years in this junior gold company... stuff to think about with her reputation and connections...

Good to see you here guru! Well I hope it's good news! the level IIs show big support at the bid and a thin line up at the ask, so if we get some buying pressure this should go up fast. I've played this one for months (one of my "safe" swing trades) and no volume makes it swing between 0.03 to 0.05 (it always took a while though because of the lack of volume), so imagine what a GOOD pr could do, I'm hoping for the best man!

anyway, level IIs

I was tipped off on this one about two months ago. They said to look out for a huge PR within the next few months. Said she wouldn't be suprised if it hit a dollar with the news they are supposed to release.

Hey, Phat Man, that first DD you posted was from 1998 according to their site... little outdated don't you think. Surely it doesn't take this company 8 years to update their geological survey results. Can we hear some opinions from those "in the know" about what they think the PR is going to be about?

BTW, if the PR really is awesome, please people, don't put your orders in before open. It'll just gap up even more. Wait until 9:30AM to put your orders in. I'd rather buy from my fellow investors rather than the MM's who are going to gap it up big with shares they don't have and then just short it back down all day until they get it low enough to cover. I've seen it way too many times. Let's start this run right and keep it going up all day - that's if the PR really is as good as some say it might be.

my feeling says it will be a very good pr but the most important step is going into production! i know they have the goods and have 2 great properties but untill now they have not proven they can get the minerals out of it on the table now just wishfull thinking but once they start production the current stock price is very undervalued... 90%of junior mining companies claim to be successfull but look how many really make it... i know who virginia shehee is and her associates who have put money in this company and i am quite convinced they put this company into production and then it will be very interesting. i look forward to the pre market pr this monday and it will tell us probably what we can expect in the next months ahead of us...i am loading the boat at these bottom prices to make a nice 3 to 4 bagger in a few months. gold is still very hot these days and i see it rise because of the crisis in the middle east.

by the way the 52w low is 2 cents so this is really a good bottom player if you look at the chart and this is a company that can surprise the MM once big buying pressure comes in and ask is very thin so it can go fast

HENDERSON, Nev./EWORLDWIRE/July 17, 2006 --- International Star, Inc. (OTCBB: ILST.OB) today made public the details of the recent developments in the exploration and testing on the Detrital Wash and Wikieup properties in Mohave County, Arizona.

In January 2006, International Star, Inc., announced the signing of a Joint Venture with Resolve Capital, Inc., on the original 1,280 acres in the Detrital Wash, Mohave County, Arizona. In that announcement, ISTAR stated that one of the benefits of the Joint Venture was the ability to turn focus to the remaining properties held by the company. In the months following the signing, that has been the primary focus for International Star, Inc.

During February 2006, management of ISTAR began talks with a world-wide REIT organization with interests in investing in International Star, Inc. and in developing a long-term mining relationship between ISTAR and the organization. During due diligence performance on the organization, it was determined by management the proposed relationship with the organization would not be in the best interests of the ILST shareholders and negotiations were terminated. In the process of the discussions, however, ISTAR was introduced to two individuals, a chemist and a metallurgist, who have been researching and testing an extraction process specifically for the area where International Star, Inc., holds placer and lode claims.

Also in February 2006, management of ISTAR was introduced to an Arizona mining company who showed interest in working with the claims held by International Star, Inc., on the Wikieup property. Although it was determined that it was not in the best interest of the ILST shareholders to enter into a Joint Venture with the mining company, during the process management was introduced to Geologist Jim Nyrehn and a production facility in Flagstaff, Arizona, both of which were very interested in working with International Star, Inc., in the pursuit of extracting minerals from both Detrital Wash and Wikieup properties.

In a report submitted to International Star, Inc. by Geologist Jim Nyrehn dated April 1, 2006, Mr. Nyrehn states, "It is the opinion of this author that the International Star mineral properties located to the west of Wikieup, Arizona and at Detrital Wash in northwest Arizona could host ore-grade mineralization not previously recognized." Mr. Nyrehn also states, "The geology, structure and lithology all combine on the Wikieup property to indicate a tremendous exploration potential for precious and base metals. The property to date has apparently only been examined as a target for precious metals," and "The company's Detrital Wash property is an example of a property with potentially more value than anticipated. During a cursory evaluation of the eastern portion of the property, it was noted that several veins and structures, which appear to be mineralized, occur on the property with frequency."

ISTAR took the advice of Jim Nyrehn, and with his guidance, collected samples to be used with the new extraction process. After months of closely working with the chemist and metallurgist on the extraction process to be used on each property, it was determined the process was ready for testing in the production facility in Flagstaff, Arizona. Through weeks of testing on various types of samples from both Detrital Wash and Wikieup properties at the Flagstaff facility, an extraction process has been developed which is yielding consistent results on both properties. On July 10, 2006, Robert L. Wasiliew, BC Certified Assayer, and Philip V. Olivier, South African Certified Assayer, certified test results on two separate tests from the Detrital Wash property. One 150g test yielding 4.044 OPT (ounces per ton) of Gold (Au) and 0.127 OPT of Platinum (Pt), and the second 5 pound head ore test for Platinum (Pt) alone yielding 0.1259 OPT.

Testing at the Flagstaff facility is continuing, including bulk tests geared towards formulating the cost effectiveness of going into production at the Flagstaff facility as opposed to building a new facility closer to both properties, which is also under consideration by the ISTAR management team. The Flagstaff facility has shown great interest in continuing work with International Star, Inc. ISTAR management is currently undergoing the due diligence towards that possibility.

International Star will continue to pursue means to expand its exploration activities on both its Detrital Wash and Wikieup properties, either by seeking additional capital through loans or private placements of its securities or by possibly entering additional joint venture arrangements with one or more other, more substantial companies.

Although there are negotiations currently in progress, there are no arrangements in place to further fund the company at this time, and the outcome of the discussions with other entities cannot be predicted. If the company raises capital by selling its equity stock, the proportionate ownership of existing shareholders will be diminished.

As a side note, on May 23, 2006, Larry Stone, representing Star-Resolve Detrital Wash, LLC., requested an extension on the time constraints as specified in the Joint Venture Agreement with International Star, Inc. In response, on May 24, 2006, Denny Cashatt, stated, "In light of what has taken place over the past six months, I see no reason to extend this any further." The matter has since been referred to the corporate attorney.

they are getting out great values with the process they possess now. Now we know they have the 'goods" and more important, they can get them out of the property at a commercial interesting value. this is a FOUNDATION they can build on from here and i expect in the next weeks they get the necessary financing to go into production on both properties and cash flows will start to come in in the next months. they can process in the beginning around 30 tons per day so that will be a nice cash flow per month and the big mining companies will start to look at this junior mining company. It is just the news i expected and from now on the only way is up!

Good luck !

.015 / .018

NITE & UBSS in the mix, the two best friends a run has ever had.

Nice recovery.

Here's what I like about this one:

Note todays volume and yesterday's volume compared to average volumes, 5 / 20 / 50 / 100 day. Note the price decline in the last two days, -43% from the close to close on 7/31/06 to today, and 57% from 7/31 close to today's LOD, .012. According to what I look for, those are some very attractive variances. Also that take down to .012 and quick recovery was nice to see.

O/S : The Company had 227,777,710 shares of common stock outstanding at May 11, 2006.

FORM 10-QSB : http://www.pinksheets.com/quote/print_filings.jsp?url=%2Fredirect.asp%3Ffilename %3D0001144204%252D06%252D020452%252Etxt%26filepath%3D%255C2006%255C05%255C15%255 C&symbol=ILST

It is actually pretty clean. I don't see any open dilutive filings that could cause problems.

CHART : http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=ILST&p=D&yr=0&mn=3&dy=0&id=p99291935889

Still in an oversold condition. Note the last time the RSI ducked under 30, it bounced from .016 to .03. I think we hit a little resistance at .025, and more at .0275, after that it could see .035.

RECENT NEWS : http://finance.yahoo.com/q/h?s=ILST.OB

Last news was 7/17/06. If it newses again it could easily send it back to its previous highs.

Lastly, a few weeks ago there was a few people touting this heavily between .035 and .04. Unknown rumors of something big. I really don't put much store in those rumors, but others might. Even if the rumor is totally discounted the O/S along with its recent price and volume behaivor is enough for me to like it.

Not a bad day for ILST. Alerted at .012, with a close at .016, B/A .016 / .018. 33% gain from alert.
