I use Ameritrade and they're showing quotes for both, PMED and PMEDE....different prices as well. What's the story with this?....I'm confused!...anyone else experiencing this?

If a an "E" has been added to a stock symbol it means the company is late in its SEC filings. If a "Q" has been added it means a company is in bankruptcy proceedings.
If you see two versions of a stock symbol on your trading website (PMED and PMEDE, for isntance), then this may be a temporary error with the database -- you probably won't actually be able to buy one stock or the other (either PMED wil be active for trading or PMEDE will be, not not both, since really they're the same thing). The unactive stock symbol may show the last-recorded prices for the (old) symbol, while the new/active symbol will show the current prices.
When the (and if) the "E" is removed from the symbol of stocks, they usually do rise in price even if the eventual SEC filing doesn't contain good news(since the uncertainty/danger of the "E" has passed)... However, if a company isn't filing with the SEC because they're about to go belly up, then the stock might go from an E to a Q, and then the stock price may plummet.
So investing in an E stock can be very risky but also offers a good chance for quick profits, if the company files their paperwork soon after you buy it.
Note that I've followed PMED before and made a few dollars ... it's a decent little stock and it tends to dramatically rise and fall a few times a year, so buy super low and you should be able to eek out a nice profit eventually. PMED tends to move up and down in unison with the other medical industry/medical tech stocks (give or take a couple of weeks) so look out for med-related news to help determine when the stock may rise or fall.

just curious here.. i bought yesterday at .0095. the E came off, and now the stock's up, but choicetrade doesn't have it showing up yet as being in my portfolio as PMED.
do i have to call choicetrade to let them know about the symbol change, or will it probably happen on its own in a day or two?
thanks.

Paradigm Medical Industries Reports 2005 Results, Sees 'Dramatic' Improvement This Year May 2, 2006 1:01:00 PM Copyright Business Wire 2006 SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 2, 2006--
Paradigm Medical Industries, Inc. (OTCBB: PMED.OB/PMEDW.OB) reported revenues for the year ended December 31, 2005 showed a decrease of $900,000, compared with the year-ago period. The Company noted that the drop in revenue is largely attributable to the unexpected delays experienced in launching the next generation Ultrasound BioMicroscope (UMB), the P60.
"Last year was a transitory one for the Company. Our expectations were greater than what we were able to achieve," said Paradigm Medical's President and Chief Executive Officer, Raymond Cannefax. "Nonetheless, there were a number of favorable developments that are expected to bear fruit in 2006 and beyond, most notably the continued acceptance of our next-generation P60 UBM, and the introduction of our redesigned ultrasound product line."
Mr. Cannefax continued, "2006 has already generated several critical positive changes for the Company, which we believe will result in a dramatic improvement in our financial results for this year and beyond. Specifically:
-- A new management team has been put in place. We will continue to round it out during the balance of the year.
-- The Company has received Canadian regulatory approval for the P60. This follows regulatory approvals for the product last year in the United States, Western European countries and some parts of the Pacific Rim. We will capitalize on this global high-tech eye-care opportunity rapidly.
-- Paradigm Medical recently completed a $1.5-million financing that will provide adequate funds to expand global sales and marketing programs for our high-margin product portfolio.
-- The Company has consolidated its warehouse, production, and office facility into a more efficient and cost-effective space.
-- International distributor agreements are being reviewed and new distributors are eager to market Paradigm Medical's products in countries where there has been limited or no product distribution in the recent past.
-- The Company is exploring collaborations with leading global firms that have ultrasound research and development and production capabilities, to help develop new products that will be marketed globally by Paradigm Medical. Several of these products were well received at the AAO Conference held in March 2006.
-- Paradigm Medical is evaluating additional end-use market opportunities for its ultrasound products in ophthalmology." "We are placing even greater emphasis on reducing our operating expenses and maintaining adequate inventory to meet expected demand four our products," Mr. Cannefax added. "The Company has adopted the slogan 'Continuous Improvements,' and is doing exactly that--continuously improving every aspect of our operations as well as our products."

Finally, I've been holding this as ********* touted it a month or 2 ago. Looked good for a while then dove. This latest PR looks promising so we'll see what effect it has on the stock. Hopefully it will go up a bit and gain some exposure.

nice volume today at 9 mil. .0125 - .013 range at the moment. I think we're on the right path for an uptrend here. Charts are looking good, 2005 is behind them, and things are definitely looking up, based on the info in the PR.

More good news are expected, such as licenses for P60 from health authorites of China, japan, and other Eusopean countries, and distributors for different markets. These will drive the pps up, with the first target of 0.04 within next 6 weeks. 0.06 is possible within 3 months, and hits the 52-week high of 0.08 within 4 months. Please notice that the CEO got a stock option deal with a striking price of 0.06. Yes, the trend is up, but expect more swing and shakes, as the MMs want more cheap shares along the way. The chart of FEMO will be a good example of the expected trend for PMED. Good luck.

oh, I definitely agree with jimsc, there will be plenty of "swings and shakes" as he says. But I see us having a strong month this month, and if and when news regarding approval of the new line of technology in foreign markets, and/or increased sales starts showing up, that shows that the "dramatic" improvement mentioned in the last PR is for real, we should stand a very good chance of reaching the goals of .04, .06, and .08 that jimsc has identified

there's still plenty of time in the day today, and I still think we might see a strong close. If not, then this may be another ineveitable "shake" as JimSC has observed, but it will only take some positive news that verifies that the dramatic changes are true in order to rev this up and get us back to .02 +

hey, I say buy at these cheap prices while you can, as it's going to go up in the long run, if you can bear the shakes and wobbles...
could be profitable for short termers as well...a well timed pr here could definitely make someone some quick dough

I agree with you and jim, just figured they would want to pick up more at this price and lower, we should actually see this close strong, but i dont think we will close at the .0125 we opened at.

yeah, it's a bummer that we closed down for today...but I wouldn't worry too much about it. There will still be issues of shorting, dilution, and weak hands in the days to come. But once they mention that they have landed a deal, increased revenue, or gotten approval for their equipment, this thing will fly just like it did after they announced the Canadian approval of the P60 back in Feb.
