This is the companies recent news many of you have already seen.
Coastal Holdings, Inc. Announces Forward Split of Company Stock and Status of OTC Bulletin Board Listing
HOUSTON, TX, May 05, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Coastal Holdings, Inc. (OTC: CSJJ) today announced that during a Special Meeting of the Board of Directors the Company approved a 150 for 1 forward split of the Company's common stock.
The Company is filing the necessary information with NASDAQ Market Integrity. Further details with respect to the effective date and shareholder date of record of the forward split will be released following the regulatory approval of the application. Stockholders of record on a specific date, to be determined shortly, will be entitled to one hundred and fifty (150) shares of common stock for each share of common stock held as of the record date.....
My question is does anyone, anyone at all, have an explanation of how that could happen given the PPS? If it is a tall tale, then I can't even see how it is logical, unless there is an, as of yet, unannounced R/S that would precede the F/S. Now you would think if you were going to throw out "fake" news you could come up with something better than that!!!! What are your ideas about the split and if it is even possible, and yes we all know what you think of the CEO!
Thanks!

I bought some based on that news. It would be great if true. Considering how my luck is going lately it will probably be a 1000 to 1 reverse split.

What is the O/S? Never seen it done before. Looks like a PAIM move. Dilution can't help this thing at .0001. Assuming the A/S is ONE billion, it will become 150 billion. IF it is more than one billion, do the math, not good. Maybe a few will get lucky and sell at .0001 after the F/S, but do you really want to turn your million shares into 150 million shares? Imagine all the countless billions on the ask with not enough on the bid to make a difference. I say avoid it. F/S is only good when the pps is a penny or above and you have a solid prospect for growth. Obviously this is JMO.

To mee it is obvious ...there is something big going on with csjj ....And it will be good for share holders . there is something after the 150 to 1 forward split and it may not be a R/S ...What if it is a part of the process to expand the equity of the company by aquisitions and posible mergers and taking this to the bullitin boards . It seems to me they may be doing just that and more . And it it works ....Thats a win win ...

I use them too. I'm not sure why that is happening, it just supprised me with all the buys that have gone through. I thought it was FIFO.

apparently not in the pennies. I have had 3 seperate sell orders now and I still have just over 400,000.
One think I have learned is that all the normal rules go out the windows in penny land. MM's literally do whatever they want. I'll just be glad to get rid of them so I can get more PBLS.

I found this on another thread on this board!
"Fact: public traders like me are not allowed to short penny stocks as per SEC rules. Therefore, these new people, and im guessing many more, are in fact market makers who lurk on these boards, or post, in order to find or create "pops" which are short targets.
Newbies beware: you are being totally scammed."
Hummmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!! Very Interesting

gnulnx, I considered posting a quiz for newbies so they could learn how to identify sharks, wannabe sharks, and shark stoogies.
Most serious investors in OTCs don't post on boards and most don't even visit. The reason for posting this is to remind all wannabe sharks and stoogies that they are only shark food when entering the deeper waters. Before diving in, take a look at the statistics for 'new shark food shelf life'. Now that's scary.
Thanks for your post, gnulnx.
Disclosure --> I'm retail, long, and happy about it.

I would say primarly because professional investors gather all the information they need to make an investment and message board posts only serve to cloud their judgement. Just a guess tho. I mainly visit these boards because my job is so damn boring! LOL.

bcs most of the people on these boards pumping stocks are mms who are shorting stocks or the ceo who wants to dump billions of shares
almost all of these stocks go down
Now...that WAS a rhetorical question!
