Denver Biometric Security Company Announces Delivery of Its Biometric Products to Best Brand Products of Romania
id-Confirm(TM) Completes the First Phase of Its Multi-Year Distribution Contract
DENVER, June 27, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- id-Confirm, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: IDCO) today announced that it has completed delivery of an initial order for its biometric products to Best Brand Products of Bucharest, Romania, under a previously announced contract. id-Confirm is a Denver-based developer of fingerprint-based biometric authentication solutions whose mission is the elimination of financial fraud and identity theft. The products delivered include the touchStar product line, which provides biometric physical access control and time clock management to eliminate the time- and resource-intensive issues associated with badge and PIN-based identity authentication systems.
"We are encouraged that Best Brand Products continues to develop its distribution network in Europe and selected the touchStar line as its authentication platform for secure door access," said Tom Breen, COO for id-Confirm. "The product's physical access capabilities ensure effortless security management -- zone by zone and door by door. The integrated system will signal alarms if access is denied to a potential user, prohibiting unauthorized access and allowing for real-time threat assessment."
This agreement has also set forth discussions for installation of the id-Confirm SecureLink System(TM) in one of the world's most secured residential and commercial communities currently under construction in Romania. This development is scheduled to build over 8,000 residences, 1,000,000 sq. feet of office space, restaurants, hotels, schools and approximately 2,000,000 sq. feet of shopping space.
Like the touchStar product, the id-Confirm SecureLink System leverages fingerprint biometrics and sophisticated, proprietary algorithmic formulas to create a powerful, immediately deployable solution that will protect the interests of this community. Homeowners and tenants will be issued id-Confirm's patent-pending personal handheld biometric device, the id4u(TM), which will allow the user to scan his or her finger to verify entry into homes and offices, validate online banking transactions or gain access to computer systems.
