BOSTON, Mar 8, 2006 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) -- Markland Technologies, Inc. (MRKLE) , a defense and homeland security company transforming advanced laboratory technology into real-world products, as announced in August 2005, re-iterates its previously declared stock dividend to the holders of the Company's common stock of $10 million worth of shares of Technest Holdings Inc. http://www.technestholdings.com (TCNH) common stock that the Company currently owns, up to a maximum of 2.5 million shares of Technest common stock. The record date for the stock dividend is May 1, 2006 and the distribution date for the stock dividend is July 5, 2006.
The actual number of shares of Technest common stock to be distributed will be calculated based on a per share price equal to the average closing price of the Technest Stock as reported by the National Association of Securities Dealers Automatic Quotations service for the ten trading days ending June 30, 2006. However in no event shall the number of shares of the Technest common stock distributed exceed 2.5 million nor will Markland deliver fractional shares of the Technest common stock. As of this date Markland presently owns 13,954,023 shares of Technest common stock. Markland management is considering alternatives available to it for future dividends to be made to its common shareholders.
The Company is continuing to work on the accounting issues described in the Current Report on Form 8-K issued on February 10, 2006 concerning non-reliance on previously issued financial statements. At this time, there is no further update on when these issues will be addressed. However, the Company intends to restate the financial statements in question as soon as practicable.

if MRKLE breaks .025 today or comes close i am going in HUGE this will be its 3rd attempt and its either 3rd times a charm or 3 strikes your out...i am willing to take my chance...also if they do get approval to be listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange this one will really fly...they just filled the papers today!

I only think it will go to .20 and beyond around the same time frame as Technest Holdings, Inc. www.technestholdings.com (OTCBB:TCNH) goes on the NASDAQ Capital Market. I have no time frame for you. I just know Markland has a major stake in that.
Do your own research. The story may play out..

Company management with co-operation from its majority shareholder, Markland Technologies Inc (OTCBB: MRKLE - News), has restructured its corporate governance and has appointed three members to its Board of Directors, all of whom meet the "independent" and corporate governance requirements of NASDAQ. Effective on March 15, 2006, newly appointed board members: Major General (Ret) David R. Gust, Robert Doto and Darlene Deptula Hicks have formed the requisite independent audit, compensation, and nominating and corporate governance committees.

RSI * 57.7 looking good for a nice run. PLENTY of room to grow. Looks like it has a hard time getting on the 70 mark though.
50ma : is has broke this resistance point which was at .018 so that is very nice.
Candles: when i study candles i use the 9ma which on nice long runs the bottoms of the candle will follow the 9ma which it is doing right now. at an upward trend Formed a long white candle today. hope to see another tomorrow.
MACD: It is breaking away and looking to pass the 0 line. with enough buying tomorrow this will happen and as all know it is a very good sign and a lot of buying pressure comes when this happens. it is VERY bullish.
