If you are looking for long term I highly suggest you email the CEO and ask him who the fab* is they have under contract for their chip is, then once he answers you determine if it is a long term hold.
I work for one of the top semiconductor makers, and that one question I asked determined if RIM was a play or investment for me.
*Fab = factory that makes the wafers that contain the chips.
