Just so everyone knows, I had a chance to interact with the Hop-On folks about a year ago regarding their 802.11b WiFi phone that fully supports SIP. They were the CHEAPEST priced vendor in the entire market for this type of device and WiFi phones and quad band gsm, tdma, wifi phones will be the next big thing.
Nokia, Sony, Ericson, LGE and others are trying to corner the market on the cell hardware portion... But I honestly think that Hop-On is taking some innovative approaches for their phones. (WiFi, GPS kid phones, etc)
They have great ideas and they take them to product... But they need to sign some big deals with some major telco providers to really get moving.
GLTA who invested in this company... I think it will go far.
