Kokopelli Sonoran Grill Opens Its Doors in Toledo, Ohio

Franchise Capital Corporation (OTC BB: FCCN) is very pleased to announce that Kokopelli Franchise Company, LLC and its franchisee KSG of Ohio, LLC have opened its newest Kokopelli Sonoran Grill location in Toledo, OH. This is the first of five locations scheduled to open in the Toledo area with franchisee KSG of Ohio, LLC. The location can be found on the corner of Talmadge Rd. and Sylvania Ave at 4038 Talmadge Rd. Toledo.

After a VIP Gala on Saturday night, Kokopelli Sonoran Grill officially opened its door for business this morning at 11:00 am EST. “This is a very exciting time for all us,” stated Don Allio, Franchise Capital President and COO, and President and CEO of Kokopelli Franchise Company, LLC. “We would like to congratulate KSG of Ohio and its principles for what is turning out to be a very successful grand opening. At the 11:00 am opening four customers immediately walked in. Since then they have been lining up for the lunch time rush.”

Kokopelli was founded in Phoenix, Arizona in 1997 and differentiates itself from other fast-casual chains by serving authentic hand-blended Sonoran spices, beans slow-cooked everyday, never refried and tortillas steamed to order. Food is served to its customers "platter'' style. Additionally, Kokopelli serves menu items found in full service Mexican restaurants such as, Sonoran Garlic Steak, Grilled Chicken Sedona, Margarita Shrimp, Chili Colorado, beer, and frozen-margaritas.

Kokopelli Sonoran Grill offers made-to-order big-burritos, tacos, fajitas, and other Sonoran favorites, including a full line of salads. They use only the freshest ingredients using no preservatives, or additives. We offer complete dine-in and take-out service in high volume retail centers and other high traffic commercial locations throughout the United States.

Way undervalued!

I know Doling had talked about this earlier, I owned some for awhile and watched a slow steady climb...

That's all I care about, slow and steady...

Yo quiero Kokopelli Grill
By: Kristin Reichardt

Falling in the groove between Taco Bell and Don Pablo's, Kokopelli Sonoran Grill offers big burritos at moderate prices in a mildly enjoyable environment - kind of like their pico de gallo salsa.

Opening last week in the new Talmadge Town Center, 4038 Talmadge Rd., Kokopelli brings one more dining option to the quickly developing Westfield Shoppingtown Franklin Park area.

Less formal than Claddagh Irish Pub, Bravo Cucina Italiano or Champps Americana, Kokopelli is of the dressed-up fast food restaurant genre that includes Panera Bread and Chipotle.

Its Southwestern flair is evident in its one-pound burritos, made in front of the customer.

The burritos are filled with fresh meat - chicken, steak, pork or shrimp - cilantro rice, juicy chopped tomatoes, onions, choice of salsa (including sweet mango) and other toppings.

Accompanied by crisp tortilla chips with just the right amount of salt and various salsas from the salsa bar, this bulging tortilla wrap that barely keeps the internal goodies it ensconces (available in 13-inch and 10-inch) is a complete meal.

Although more expensive than the typical Taco Bell burrito, at $6.57 (including tax), Kokopelli's burritos are decidedly of higher quality and are more satisfying.

Tacos, quesadillas, taco salad, nachos and a kid's menu are also available.

Besides fountain drinks and iced tea, this casual dining restaurant differs from others in that it will offer imported Mexican beer and classic or strawberry frozen margaritas as soon as the restaurant gets its liquor license, according to a manager.

Though plain and on the frigid side, Kokopelli's interior is incredibly clean and brightened slightly by the multitude of natural light from the front and side glass-paned walls.

The staff is friendly but not overbearing - attentive and knowledgeable about their menu.

They are also very quick to correct mistakes, not only giving a refund for overcharging a fellow diner, but also offering coupons and following up.

Critic's Conclusion:

It's not as addictive as Jimmy John's, but Kokopelli's is a solid pick for those looking for a casual lunch or dinner with a slightly nicer feel than fast food and less of a tab than a full-service establishment.

Three stars out of five.
