SEATTLE, WA, Jan 18, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- HQ Sustainable Maritime Industries, Inc. (HQSM) is pleased to announce that it is on track to achieve its 2006 profit and revenue growth targets. This is due in large part to the higher than anticipated demand for its fish products, especially with respect to the significant amount of projected direct sales from the Pacific North-West. In addition, HQSM is gearing up to launch a direct sales initiative in Europe, which the Company expects will yield similar positive results to its bottom line. In order to meet the higher demand, HQSM will ramp up production at its existing facility in Hainan, China, and aggressively pursue the acquisition of other production facilities including the construction of its own 76,000 ton Feedmill. Management is committed to maximizing shareholder value and will continue to provide timely updates on the execution of its 2006 growth strategy.
