Mycom Group, Inc., a software sales and professional technology services company, whose stock is traded on the over the counter market (OTCBB: MYCM), announced it has sold its Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky networking services business to DLP Technologies, Inc.
DLP's services include troubleshooting, network administration, and design of new network infrastructures, as well as delivering application services and strategic IT planning. Their products include Intel-based servers and desktop hardware and software required for network operations.
The networking services business being sold by Mycom includes contracts, and customer sales records for provision of on site engineering and network management of clients located in Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. Mycom will receive a combination of cash, services and royalty on future sales for the assets sold.
Mycom's Chairman, CEO, Rob Bransom stated, "We are pleased to turn over our on-site services business in Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky to DLP Technologies, a well respected, experienced and professional network solutions provider. They have a staff of consultants, engineers, and system support technicians that can provide more expansive and comprehensive network support to our valued clients."
Bransom continued, "During the past four months, Mycom has re-engineered and refocused on our core business, the sale of software and license management for businesses and organizations throughout North America. This sale of our local services business is in keeping with our revised business focus. It allows us to reduce overhead and operating costs without significantly reducing revenue. The sale also allows us to turn our attention to developing some new categories of business for Mycom."
DLP's Vice President, Marc Steiger indicated, "Mycom's networking services business is a perfect fit for DLP.
