Montgomery County selects the Westlin Bunker for Disaster Recovery operations Houston, Texas, November 17, 2005– Westlin Corporation (Pink Sheets: WSTN) is pleased to announce that Montgomery County has selected the Bunker for its Disaster Recovery program. Montgomery County, located just North of Houston is one of the fastest growing Counties in the State of Texas. The County replicates to their backup servers via a private Gigabit Ethernet connection provided via a local fiber carrier, ICTX to replicate their critical data in real time to the Bunker. The bunker installation will allow the County to have an off site location for storage of their critical data that is available 24x7 and is updating continuously. Before September 11, 2001, Montgomery County Communication Information Services (CIS) computer security was focused primarily on electronic intrusion from hackers and viruses. After 9/11, it was a time to rethink the Disaster Recovery Plan to the potential devastation of physical disaster. Montgomery County is very fortunate to have the Westlin 100,000-square foot office building with a 40,000-square-foot bunker located a short distance from Montgomery County Court House. The county implemented a fiber network though out the county using a local fiber carrier WaveMedia and ICTX. By using the County fiber network and purchasing Gigabit Ethernet from ICTX to the bunker the County records are now protected from such disasters as tornadoes, hurricanes, nuclear bomb or the direct hit from plane crashes. “We’re very pleased to have Montgomery County locate their critical infrastructure here at the Bunker.
