Golden Spirit Launches First Generation Online Poker Site 11/29/2005
BELLINGHAM, WA, Nov 29, 2005 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Golden Spirit Gaming Ltd. (OTC BB: GSGL) announces the launch of Golden Spirit Poker's offshore first generation live (for cash) online poker website. Beta testing has just been completed and the site is ready for live online playing. This site is powered by established technology and software.
The Company's PLAY FOR FUN poker website www.goldenspiritpoker4fun.net has been operating since September 2005. This site has generated a healthy player base that is familiar with our new gaming software. This will translate into a profitable player base for the real game (cash) site, which is constantly being updated and improved upon.
The Company's NEXT GENERATION live online poker website is expected to be launched by the end of 2005 or early 2006, utilizing the already familiar software that www.goldenspiritpoker4fun.net players are used to. Additional Casino Games like Blackjack will also be available for players when the NEXT GENERATION cash online site is launched.
Golden Spirit intends to offer online poker lessons from professional players that will help with the basics and significantly speed up the learning curve for novices. Online poker was 12 percent of worldwide Internet gambling revenue in 2004 and poker's share is expected to climb to 20 percent for 2005. By 2010, online poker revenue is expected to top $6.7 billion, or 27 percent of total Internet gambling an overtaking sports betting as the chief gambling activity online. The Las Vegas Strip, by contrast, generated $5.3 billion in gambling revenue last year."
