Janel World Trade Announces Anticipated Third Quarter Revenue Thursday August 4, 7:27 am ET Company Estimates $19.9 Million in Third Quarter Gross Revenue--Strongest in Janel's History
JAMAICA, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 4, 2005--Janel World Trade, Ltd., (OTCBB: JLWT - News), a global provider of integrated transport logistics services, today announced that it expects gross revenue for the third fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2005 to approximate $19.9 million, a 17% increase over the third fiscal quarter of 2004. These anticipated results are subject to comprehensive review and approval. The increase in Janel's business activity is attributable to new customers and significantly increased shipping activity by existing customers.
Mr. James Jannello, chief executive officer, commented, "The significance of this anticipated revenue increase is particularly striking because it comes at a time when we have been proactively purging low margin, yet often high revenue, business to seek replacement accounts with higher profit margins for Janel."
Mr. Jannello continued, "In addition to the realignment of our customer accounts, we also expect to complete our recently announced acquisition of a customs brokerage business within 60 days, which we expect to be a catalyst for further revenue and earnings growth.
