Shelron Group Noted by Dow Jones as Strategically Positioned Between Two Hottest Internet Trends PR Newswire - July 06, 2005 09:23
Search Engines and Comparison Shopping Engines are Booming
NEW YORK, July 6, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- The Shelron Group, Inc. (OTC: SHRN), a leading provider of e-commerce software and e-business solutions, today announced that market analysts point to Shelron Group as positioned among giants in industries that are in high growth modes.
The Dow Jones recently published an article following the announced pending acquisition of Shopping.com by eBay and the acquisition of Shopzilla.com by E.W. Scripps. Each of deals are in excess of $500 million.
In the report that was published on June 10th, Dow Jones noted that Shelron's ActiveShopper.com recently launched its comparison shopping engine on the Internet. The analyst noted that more acquisitions of comparison shopping engines are to be expected in the coming year. Large corporations view these acquisitions as essential to their growth strategies on the Internet.
"I think that eBay's pending acquisition of Shopping.com will have a very positive and direct impact on our operations," says Eliron Yaron, Chairman of Shelron Group. "Our affiliation agreement with Shopping.com, who will be aligned with eBay, could potentially lead us to a direct relationship with eBay."
ActiveShopper.com was also recently mentioned in PC Magazine in an article on toolbars, drawing further attention to the comparison shopping site.
"The Dow Jones report simply confirms the market research that we have been gathering and analyzing for the last several months," continues Yaron. "This has resulted in our redirecting our marketing strategy and tactics to be better focused on the needs of the market."
This report comes at a time when Shelron has seen a lift in traffic in recent weeks.
