Telynx Confirms Plans to Launch Suite of OSS Software Solutions
SHERMAN OAKS, CA, May 04, 2005 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Telynx, Inc. (OTC: TLYN), a provider of network management software solutions and related services, today confirmed its plans to launch a suite of unique OSS (Operations Support System) software products designed to meet the specific needs of a growing, multi-billion dollar OSS industry. The term OSS generally refers to the system (or systems) that perform management, inventory, engineering, planning, and repair functions for communications service providers and their networks. Interactive Data Corp., a leading provider of global, mission-critical market data, recently stated in its Spring 2005 Market Snapshot Report for OSSs, "...that the worldwide market for software-based fulfillment, assurance, and billing solutions (excluding customer care) will top $9.9 billion in 2005."
Following a year of corporate restructuring and repositioning, Telynx is now poised to tap a significant piece of this growing market. Since the turn of the century, telecom companies have faced many challenges related to the emerging technologies and the ever-changing trends and needs of the retail consumer. Telynx, while having endured many setbacks, fortunately brought aboard new management that had the foresight to expand and develop a distinctive software solutions suite that is scalable and has a managed services component.
Fully compliant with industry standards and available in multiple languages, Telynx's new system is designed to exceed current market requirements of wireless operators, ISPs, VoIPs and Cable Operators. The system automates many functions associated with managing the ever-changing network topography of communication service providers. With the Telynx software automatically searching for and identifying components within its networks, service providers are now able to maintain the high level of service to which their customers have become accustomed. Furthermore, the Telynx system provides comprehensive maintenance record keeping and it helps to more effectively manage replacement parts' inventories -- both extremely valuable cost-saving features.
Telynx President and CEO Paul Mataras said, "We believe that we are in a unique position to provide the most flexible and intelligent solutions to the growing number of companies in the communications markets. As a result of our team's cumulative industry experience, we have collectively been able to re-invent the approach to servicing the OSS market. Instead of the traditional products-only approach, Telynx plans to launch a managed-service offering by the end of 2005. It is our mission to produce products and services that will meet and exceed the ever-changing needs of the communications providers markets."
