EDMONTON, Alberta, May 2, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF) is pleased to announce that it has been asked to start supplying the VScan HIV 1&2 test kits in China starting May 30, 2005. Previously Medical Services had announced a contract with China to start supplying VScan HIV test kits starting July 1, 2005. The Company has now been asked to supply 315,000 HIV test kits by May 30, 2005 as well as kits in June 2005. This will result in a significant increase in our cashflow for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year end June 30, 2005. The contract with China is to supply US$25.5 million in VScan HIV test kits over 3 years. This does not include sales from other VScan test kits in China.

EDMONTON, Alberta, May 3, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF) wishes to announce that the regulatory authorities in Peru have asked the Company to prepare and send the necessary kits and documentation to begin the approval process for the VScan Hepatitis B test kit. Previously, the Company had announced that it had received approval for its VScan HIV test kit in Peru. Based on current negotiations in Peru, it appears that Peru will need approximately 200,000 HIV test kits every two months for a total of 1,200,000 HIV test kits per year. The VScan HIV test kit is the only HIV test kit approved by regulatory authorities in Peru.
The Company continues to expand its presence in South America. Medical Services has been approached to supply VScan HIV, Hepatitis B and TB test kits to Chile. Medical Services expects to begin the necessary testing for regulatory approval in Chile within the next 10 days. Based on conversations with agencies in Chile involved with HIV testing, there is a need for up to 500,000 HIV rapid test kits per year that can be used in remote areas and that require no refrigeration or medical facilities. The VScan HIV 1&2 rapid test kit is ideally suited for this environment.
