5G Wireless Solutions, Inc., an emerging leader in the wireless broadband industry and a portfolio company of 5G Wireless Communications, Inc. (OTCBB:FGWC), announced today that following its successful implementation of broadband wireless networks at the prestigious DeWitt Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New York City and the Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, NJ, it has been selected to participate as a conference speaker at the American Nursing Informatics Association (ANIA) 2005 Conference being held April 28-29 at the Las Vegas Hilton.
The ANIA (http://www.ania.org) is a national organization of licensed nurses and nursing students involved with the clinical, administrative and educational aspects of healthcare information systems. This year's theme, "Planning, Communications and Interoperability; Tools for a Multi-Platform World," will focus attention on using real-time data for clinical decisions. Since the most effective capture of real time data is achieved using handheld devices through a wireless network, much of the program will be dedicated to a discussion of these technologies. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services advocates widespread use of an Electronic Health Record as a standard reporting and measurement tool.
5G Wireless Solutions will be co-presenting along with one of 5G's channel partners, Timothy O'Conner of O'Conner Informatics Group (http://oconnorig.com/oighome.php), on "The New Wireless Environment." The presentation will address the value of wireless networking in providing instantaneous feedback, an improved bottom line and enhanced quality of care.
"An event such as this confers credibility and a leadership positioning for the 5G brand as we focus specific marketing efforts on high potential vertical markets such as retirement homes," stated Peter Mansfield, 5G Wireless Solutions VP of Marketing. "With over 16,000 nursing facilities currently operating in the U.S., this is a huge market that is expected to grow as baby boomers age and the retirement industry grows to meet demand."
