Latest Town to Receive Popular New Service Provided by TelVue Corporation
MT. LAUREL, N.J., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TelVue Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: TEVE - News) announced the launch of its new TelVue Virtual Television Networks (TVTN) service in Pitman, New Jersey today. This marks the eleventh town in as many months to upgrade its community access channel using TVTN's innovative technology. Comcast cable customers in Pitman will notice a more professional look and feel to their channel 19, and with a more robust lineup of announcements, school closings, sporting events, and public notices, Pitman's upgraded channel will include "hyper-local" traffic and weather. TelVue, a technology corporation headquartered in Mt. Laurel, NJ, will help produce and manage the channel's content. TelVue's TVTN service was piloted in Ocean City, NJ in the summer of 2003, resulting in a successful trial that led to a sales effort which started in December 2003. TVTN is a computer-based, cable access channel support network capable of upgrading the look, feel and functionality of thousands of access channels simultaneously.
