My apologies to bjay, who found this stock and started a topic on it. I totally hate it when people start multiple topics for no good reason. It makes it hard to keep track. However, I don't believe bjay's topic title brought the attention that is due to this stock.

Could this be the next new hot thing? Excerpt from the PR:

"X Board will be launched at the world's largest boat show in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., on October 28. It is on schedule for full production in early 2005 and will be available to leading boat and watercraft dealers across North America and internationally. It is priced competitively with personal watercraft and will be available to demo at major resorts and water sport rental services. "

I live in Hawaii, and see surfing ranging from tourists to the best in the world at the triple crown. A surf board 'shaped' item with a small propeller on it is not surfing. I wouldn't put any money in to this joke. 'surfing' with this contraption is not surfing. there will be no controls like you do in surfing on a wave, you will just sit there as this propeller pushes you at a few mph on the waters top. No resemblence to surfing.

Stay away, take the advice from the home of surfing and the triple crown here in hawaii. this is never going to fly...

For those with an open mind:

LIVING in Hawaii doesn't make one an expert on surfing, and although I would welcome the advice of an expert who is FAMILIAR with the product, I don't think we have gotten any yet.

If you want to see the board in action, as opposed to relying on your own preconceived notions, go here:
http://www.NCVM.net./

Click on the picture, and watch the flash presentation. Wait until it is COMPLETELY over. Then you will see an option to see more video. Watching that, I see that the XBoard seems to be reaching speeds similar to a jet ski. Looks pretty exciting.

I emailed them and left a phone message. I'll post whatever I get.

id4, thank you for your opinion, and I would be interested to know what you think AFTER you learn something about the product.

This looks interesting to me. No offense id4rox but I don't think the target market for this will be surfing "purists" rather people who don't live near the ocean and have never surfed before. With the right marketing, this could catch on. I'll be watching it.

Well, personally, I will continue to hold a small amount on the hopes that this takes off. I've held for about a year (traded in and out a few times), and consider this one like a lottery ticket. If it hits, it's going to hit big and if not, well, that's why I'm holding only a small amount - lol. And to id4rox, I agree that this is probably not geared to the surfing crowd - more to the water lovers who like to play on jet skis or maybe water skis, (or maybe a lazy surfer lol).

***REVERSE SPLIT***

Nova Communications Ltd     (OTC BB: NCVM) Last Update: 12:24:00 PM ET Oct 7, 2004

Nova Communications Board Authorizes Reverse Stock Split

TORRANCE, Calif., Oct 7, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Nova Communications Ltd. (NCVM) announced that its Board of Directors has authorized a reverse stock split of its common stock.

The Company filed a Form 8-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission disclosing the split, whereby the Board of Directors approved a 1 for 100 reverse stock split. On September 21, 2004, the Company filed a Certificate of Change with the Nevada Secretary of State pursuant to the Nevada Business Corporation Act reflecting the reverse stock split. In addition to the reverse stock split, the Certificate of Change also reduced the Company's authorized capital stock to 5,000,000 shares of common stock and 100,000 shares of preferred stock.

On September 28, 2004, the Company notified NASDAQ of the proposed reverse split as required by the 10-day notice provisions of Rule 10b-17 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The reverse stock split is scheduled to be effective for shareholders of record as of October 8, 2004.

The Company has been notified by NASDAQ that its new stock symbol will be "NVAC."

Ken Owen, Nova's CEO commented, "The Board felt it was in the best interest of the Company and its shareholders to implement the reverse stock split. We feel that the Company will benefit from a capital structure more appropriate for a company of our status.

"After refining our business over the last 12 months, and with plans to introduce the XBoard to the marine industry at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show on October 28, we felt that a reverse split will provide a more appealing capital structure and share price.

"We believe this will facilitate more attractive financing opportunities and help the Company establish more solid credibility, helping us to better position the Company for growth and market penetration in our businesses."

Additionally, the Company recently announced its introduction of the XBoard -- a jet-powered watercraft that is shaped like a surfboard but powered by a jet propelled engine. The XBoard allows riders of all skill levels to experience the exhilaration of surfing anywhere, anytime. Photos and more information are available at the Company's web site (www.NCVM.net).

this product will never take off...

The surfing world is not about evolutionizing thier sport. Trust me, this product will not last and will get spit on.

I'm saying this to the investors becuase I am a consumer in the surfing market.

If i wanted something to ride on the water I would buy a reliable WaveRunner. Not motorized board with a rope to hold on to. Trust me I have seen some many goofy things like this that never take off.

Would someone like to explain why the pps is going UP on the reverse split news? The obvious answer is because I bailed out as soon as I heard about the R/S. Reducing the A/S to 5M was very good news, right? I should have held.

Man, I'm changing my name to just Losesum.

If I had just held on, I'd be sitting here, owning it @ .40. I'm so pissed, there's no way I'm going to buy it back @ 3 X that. I still think this has great potential, like the jet ski and the ski mobile. But I think for me, this will be one of my "the one that got away" stories. I still have it on my streamer, and it has mocked me every day since I sold it.

I'm an idiot.

I can't believe I held this for over a year, and because of the r/s, my amount was scalped - but I still held... and for about five minutes on the day it split, I considered buying more because it wasn't behaving the way they usually do after a r/s, but of course my "better judgement" stopped me from doing so. lol. Still, I'm not complaining - if I had alot I probably would have sold a few days ago.

Been watching time and sales on this. If this is not manipulation, I don't know what is. 95% of these price swings on the bid/ask are between 100 and 500 shares. They are drawing people in ....if you sell as a market order they undercut the bid by .15 to .20 cents. I don't know what I'm looking at...but it stinks on the surface.

(Just kidding though - Don't feel too bad - Nobody was a BIGGER IDIOD than me when I DIDN'T sell UVCL a year ago over .15 (it hit .173) when it ran from .01 in 4 days (I had bought it a month before at .02 and SUFFERED as it dropped to .01 and had almost NO volume many days)

i agree, winsome. at least for those of us who have been around awhile, we've *all* been there. it sucks, no doubt about it, very painful. but - we all know how you feel, and have been there/done that. my personal specialty is to set my limit buy 1% too low, so that i *just* miss buying, and then the stock runs 300% in 2 days but i miss it all.

anyway, sorry, but - hang in there and know it happens to all of us!! this one, i agree it was the "right" move to sell as soon as the R/S was announced, i would have done *exactly* the same thing. who knew the turkey would suddenly grow wings? just no way of knowing

And I hope $2 is not the top. The R/S left me with 1000 @ $3. Something tells me the time to sell will be about a week after the big boat show, and a PR comes out about all the new dealerships. IMO after that, I'm looking for a temporary $20 a share, and time to bail out.

Cant back it up with facts, but I have been holding this thru the R/S when news came out about the X-board. Very few people can master surfing the traditional way, and look what happened when personal watercraft first came out...there was an explosion. If, and that is a BIG if, they line up as many outlets as they expect, considering the orders are over $3,000,000 already, this COULD be huge. Here's hoping, anyway. At the very least, I think I will double my money.

I am completely stumped by this one - I first talked myself into buying more if it returned to 1.17, because I HATE chasing any stock, but with the 28th still days away, I am so tempted. It's obvious someone is buying at these prices, anyone here? Any longs adding to their position? Geez, just seen it hit 3.25 - now 3.35. This is unreal!

Methinks you missed the boat...dont think it will be going back down at least until the PR that SHOULD come out after the boat show. The news so far is too good for a slide now.
