AmeriChip International Inc. receives purchase order from the Ford Motor Company

DETROIT, MI, Aug. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - The Board of Directors of AmeriChip International Inc. (OTC-BB ACHI) is pleased to announce that it has received a purchase order from The Ford Motor Company's (NYSE-F) Sharonville, Ohio plant to run trials in preparation for a quotation for the application of the pre-machining Laser Assisted Chip Control (LACC) process on a transmission planetary carrier.

Such "proof of concept" trials are an industry mandated prerequisite to assessing the feasibility of integrating and interfacing the LACC process in the machining of specified parts in a strictly controlled environment. Once the procedure has been completed and the quotation for a major order is approved, the Company will proceed to the production phase. The AmeriChip LACC process for chip control is a redefined alternative to traditional chip control processes used by The Ford Motor Company.

The Company has engaged the services of its wholly owned subsidiary, AmeriChip Tool and Abrasives, engineering department to prepare the CAD-CAM drawings necessary to run the trials. Ed Rutkowski, President of AmeriChip Tool and Abrasives, stated that the trials will be completed within 2 weeks when a final quotation will be submitted to The Ford Motor Company.
