Company Logs Nearly 1,000 New and Potential Subscribers

DENVER, June 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Usurf America, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: USUR), a leading regional provider of wired and wireless high-speed broadband communications services, today reported that on Saturday, June 26, 2004, Usurf Communications, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, in collaboration with Intel Corporation and the City of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, successfully launched its citywide Wi-Fi hotspot, which will ultimately cover 103 square miles (27 miles of contiguous wireless coverage).

On Saturday, Usurf completed the installation and system activation of the initial phase of a three-phase rollout of its UsurfMesh(C) network in Rio Rancho, which utilizes a proprietary non-line-of-sight wireless network that does not require users to have a direct view of the base station antenna. Installation and activation of the network encompassing the entire city of Rio Rancho -- border-to-border -- is expected to be completed within the year.

Known as a "City of Vision," Rio Rancho played host to an all-day picnic celebration that was open to the public. There was standing room only in the main tent to hear formal congratulatory remarks by City, State and corporate officials, all of whom later marked the event with a symbolic "wire cutting." Throughout the day, Usurf Communications provided system demonstrations and accepted applications from city residents and business owners interested in subscribing to Usurf's wireless data service. With monthly subscription rates ranging from $29.95 to $49.95, the Company has received nearly 1,000 subscription applications -- all of which will be processed and activated in accordance with the planned phased roll-out of the citywide network. In addition, Usurf Communications has received numerous inquiries from other cities in New Mexico and surrounding states interested in deploying the Company's UsurfMesh(C) technology in their communities.
