MT. LAUREL, N.J., June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Front Porch Digital
(OTC Bulletin Board: FPDI.OB) today announced its plans for the upcoming
conference and exhibition of BroadcastAsia2004, Asia's premier electronic
media event taking place in Singapore from June 15th through June 18th.
Front Porch will be demonstrating DIVArchive, its market-leading archive
management software, as well as BitScream, a best of breed application for
transcoding between disparate video server formats. Live demonstrations of
both products will be featured in the trade show booth of Magna Systems &
Engineering. Following is an overview of the new features recently added to
these products:

* MXF support within BitScream that enables transcoding to and from MXF
and Partial Retrieval of video excerpts from clips archived in MXF
file format.
* Object Transfer Utility within DIVArchive, which adds drag and drop
capabilities to DIVArchive's Control GUI. This feature enables easier
manual transfers between broadcast video servers (or standard FTP
servers) and an archive. Simple GUI views give access to the list of
clips on the server on one side, or the list of objects in the archive
on the other side.
* Certification of Sony SAIT, which enables Front Porch to deploy
archive solutions using the latest SAIT tape drives, and Sony's SAIT-
based PetaSite(R) tape storage systems.
* DIVArchive support of Avid(R) DHM, which enables direct transfers
between an archive and an Avid Unity(TM) system. The archive format
can be Avid AirSPACE(TM), Profile or MXF file format, and the essence
either D10 or DV25. Transfers can be automated under the control of an
automation or media management system.
* A new Non-Linear Edit Plug-In allows an Avid or other NLE user to
quickly and easily drag-and-drop content to or from an external
storage device managed by Diva.
* DIVArchive support has been added for Quantel sQservers through
Quantel's ISA gateway. The new solution also supports Clipbox using
ClipNet, integrates an archive system to a Quantel system, extends
Quantel storage through a nearline or deep archive, and supports
flexible storage policies.

Front Porch will also participate in the BroadcastAsia2004 International
Conference on Tuesday, June 15th. The Company will present a paper on
"Digital Video Archiving: The Evolving Reality of Any Content, Anywhere,
Anytime" as part of the session "Media Asset Management and Information
Technology" chaired by Lim Chin Siang, Director IT & Technology Group, Media
Development Authority, Singapore. During this presentation, Front Porch will
explain how the introduction of digital asset archive is fuelling the
IT/Broadcast convergence and bringing increased automation, greater
efficiency, and global access and sharing of content.
On Thursday 17th June, Front Porch Digital will participate in the Chief
Engineer Roundtable (CERT) organized by Asia Pacific Broadcasting and chaired
by Andy Rylance, Director of Engineering, ESPN STAR Sports. This year the CERT
will revolve around three main areas of discussion:

1) Digital Distribution
2) Asset Management, Storage Architecture, and Browse
3) Ingest, Production and Playout.

During this event, Front Porch will give valuable insights on the
features, advantages and benefits of implementing Digital Video Archives.
"Our presence at BroadcastAsia2004 is important for a number of reasons,"
said Rino Petricola, managing director and vice president, Front Porch Digital
International. "DIVArchive is well-established in the Asian broadcast market,
and Front Porch has excellent references throughout the region with key
accounts like CCTV in China, ETTV in Taiwan, Turner in Singapore and many
more. Asia is a rich media market and a key target for growth and we expect
further deployments in the coming months. To sustain the installed base and
accelerate market development, we plan to establish a local presence in Asia
before the end of the year. BroadcastAsia2004 will serve as an event to pave
the way for Front Porch's future expansion in Asia."
