BARTOW, Fla., Mar 31, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- American Commerce Solutions, Inc.'s (OTC Bulletin Board: AACS) wholly owned subsidiary, Chariot Manufacturing Company, Inc., today announced the progress in its recently implemented sales and marketing plan.
Daniel L. Hefner, President and Chief Executive Officer of American Commerce Solutions, Inc., stated, "I am pleased to report today that sales of our Chariot Trailers are coming at a pace that exceeds our expectations and gives a ringing endorsement to the sales and marketing emphasis implemented by subsidiary President Steven Smith and his staff."
Mr. Hefner continued, "This acquisition has been keenly watched by our stockholders as evidenced by the volume of telephone and e-mail communications and messages received by the staff. They will not be disappointed. As of this date, Chariot has a sales backlog of $108,000. In addition, verbal commitments, without specified delivery dates, total another $63,000. However, the most exciting statistic of all is that outstanding proposals still in the negotiation stage now top $350,000."
The company expects to deliver 14 trailers this week.
Steven Smith, President of Chariot Manufacturing Company, Inc., stated, "Daytona Bike Week provided a great catalyst to our sales program. The company website, though certainly not up to current technology standards, continues to play a vital role in sales generation. However, the key to the ultimate sales success of Chariot will continue to be the special qualities of the product itself. These lightweight, aerodynamic, gas-saving beauties are sold on performance as proclaimed in the testimonials of their owners. We have become quite adept at conveying this value to prospective buyers."
Smith went on to say that two other key elements of the sales and marketing of the product are "on the way." The first is the new updated website which will go live in the next 24-48 hours. The second will be advertisements in two Florida publications in the next couple of weeks.
Hefner further commented, "We are prepared to aggressively market this product and meet the tremendous pent-up demand that obviously exists for these lightweight, easy-pull, yet durable fiberglass trailers. We continue to modify and improve our operational capability through employee training and evaluation of tools and facilities. We are committed to making Chariot the industry leader in quality, value and return on investment."
