USA Technologies' Energy Management Solutions Rapidly Spreading Across Country MALVERN, Pa., Feb. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- USA Technologies (OTC Bulletin Board: USTT) announced today that Eugene Water & Electric Board (www.eweb.org), one of the oldest publicly owned electric utilities in the Northwest, and the largest customer-owned utility in the State of Oregon, has agreed to offer a $120 rebate per installation of its VendingMiser(R). Founded in 1911, the Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) will become the eighteenth power utility or government agency that is currently offering rebates to customers who install VendingMiser(R), a unique technology that has the capacity to reduce energy consumption by nearly 50 percent. "Vending machines can consume upwards of 4,400 kilowatt-hours of energy a year, costing as much as $300 a machine per year," said Dan Morehouse, of EWEB. "The EnergyMiser can substantially cut the energy consumed by untold thousands of vending machines in the State of Oregon, and millions throughout the nation. It just makes good business and environmental sense for EWEB to offer the rebate to all of our customers." Eugene is Oregon's second largest city, and the Eugene Water & Electric Board was one of the first in the nation to aggressively explore energy saving technologies and processes to lower costs, but more importantly, conserve America's energy resources. "USA Technologies is excited that an electric utility of the size and stature of Eugene Water & Electric is offering a $120 rebate on our energy management technology to save on power consumption and contribute to reducing the drain on the nation's power grid, while reducing the cost and expense to the Oregon community," said Stephen P. Herbert, President and Chief Operating Officer, USA Technologies. "Eugene is part of a growing power conservation and cost reduction trend that is gradually spreading across America. This trend is not only spreading through the power companies, but also counties, states, school districts, and government installations." Customers of the EWEB who are interested in taking advantage of the VendingMiser(R) rebate program should contact Dan Morehouse at 541-484-1125, or visit www.eweb.org. Been holding this since they announced their deal with Sony last week. Sure hope it's ready to run, but didn't do much on that news. Looks good today, though.
