i had two computer crashes and lost all of my links to my charting and research sites on my favorites lists.

it would be a great favor to me and would save me a huge amount of time if my amigos here would post the url's of the sites we all use the most so i don't have to waste allot of time trying to reconstruct my favorites list.

thanks in advance.

anybody know a trick to add these as groups to favorites without opening each one?

another i used allot was freereatime.com they have a time and sales (delayed i think)feature as well as real time quotes i think.

sharing our favorite links should be a regular thing here. free, not paid sites.

thanks again, i had about 70-80 great links in my favorites, and lost them all. this is a great start to ****** and rollin again.

uncle milty

ps, cabbage, i got that second monitor like you suggested and i dont know why i ever ran two different computers at the same time before. this is awesome. now i just have to figure all of the possibilities this graphics card is capable of.

glassman,

yes it is the NVDIA Ge Force FX Go5200 with 64 mb ddr vram. i haven't got a clue what that means. just lucky enough to be able to buy the hotest new stuff. i love this new combo of a laptop with a 17" monitor and a second 17" monitor.

the wizard asked me if i wanted a bunch of cool options when i was setting up the monitor but i don't see them anywhere.

do you have a similar card?

this new technology totally blows my (remaining) hair back. my first computer hab 128k ram and no hard drive.

jeez--I struggle too--if you have both monitors working as a single desktop you are about where I am. I love being able to DD while I watch the pretty lights blink from red to green-LOL-when my kids get home from school they can help --if I can get them away from their own

Uncle Milty, for best results with the NVIDIA board, be sure you set your screen resolution to "1024x768 pixels".

It'll work just dandy. I run four monitors at once. To be into the "news" is to be "in the know". "Information is Key"

I picked up a slick wall mount shelf on a swing arm that is made to hold a 27" TV. Holds two 15" monitors just fine. I stack 'em two over two with my LCD's on small swing arms. I just started trading in Aug/03 but I don't know how to do anything halfassed or halfhearted.........Heh Heh

Go to www.komando.com/tips-show. search tips for backing up IE favorites. Now you can save them and never have this problem again. If you had a problem finding it I can go to my file and find how to do it.

I decided to spend a couple of my IBZT bucks on some new toys today dog---I got the GeFORCE FX 5200 PCI card and it only took a little while to put it in and hook up the new monitor. Now there is
still two PCI slots but the cooling hdwr on the 2 video cards is so big i can't get any more cards in-I only got 1 more monitor today since i am going to get a single pedestal double on E-bay but i couldn't pass up this deal on another 17"------Now i just need to figure out the all the settings to make the different web pages look right---streaming quotes are too samll on full resolution and i have to turn everything off and reboot whenever i change the settings--LOL

I use the 5200 myself G-Man. It's sweet. You can adjust each monitor to it's own separate resolution. Just keep playing with it. Enjoy.
