my question--how hard would it be to buy at the bid and sell at the ask for this stock or another stock with a 'large' spread. has anoyone tried trading stocks like this before? i'd liek to kow how hard/easy it is before i actually try it.

i do it all the time but not on sub pennies-- the trick is to put in an order splitting bid/ask and trying lower than 50% of difference but not much--I use Scottrade and get better fills than some others then sell on ask-- don't do this on a downtend--you will get burned--

MAGR has big spread right now but downtrend started yesterday watch if you have time--LOL

I think you buy at the ask and sell at the bid. if you did that, you'd be losing money!
