You'll get as many answers as there are people here. I personally look for fundamentals, meaning that I look at the overall condition of the company, their plans, their financials, their PR's versus performance, the management, and the overall health of the company.

I like to know how many share there are. If you look at volumes you need to know how much supply there is for demand. After all isn't that the capital rule.
