Oh, but as for your first question, SDS is an ETF that returns 2X teh opposite of the S&P. So S&P down2%, you make 4%. S&P up 5%, you're down 10%.

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- J. P. Morgan Chase & Co. reportedly has agreed to buy Bear Stearns Cos. For $2 a share in a stock-swap deal, valuing the company at just $236 million.
A story in the online edition of the Wall Street Journal Sunday evening, citing people familiar with the deal, reported J.P. Morgan (JPM) will exchange 0.05473 shares of its common stock per one share of Bear Stearns stock. Both boards have approved the transaction.
The Journal also reported that the Fed is taking the extraordinary step of providing special financing in connection with this transaction. The Fed has agreed to fund up to $30 billion of Bear Stearns' (BSC) less liquid assets, according to the report....

i still have CFC to look forward too tomorrow, shorted it at 4.70 a couple days ago and still holding
CFC (Countrywide Financial Corp) is having lots of problems. . FBI is investigating CFC and BAC (Bank of America) is suppose to be merging with them sumtime in the 3rd quarter
i cant see why BAC would want to merge with them
