Eden Energy Corporation OTCBB: EDNE 07/01/05 $2.96 ... 28 Million Shares 2D seismic testing indicates that the property may have 6 to 12 billion barrels of oil. It may be the worlds last remaining giant oil field and its structure is similar to the Iranian oil fields. Eden Energy's Noah Oil Prospect is part of the Cretaceous Seiver thrust belt and the oil in it migrates from west to east and since the 500 million to 1 billion barrel Wolverine discovery is to the east of it, and since the area hasn't been deep drilled, the oil containing structures should contain oil. Eden Energy Corporation has acquired 211,000 acres near Ely, Nevada. This acreage encompasses the Noah Oil Prospect, a giant 53-mile long, seven mile wide linear anticline. It lies 15 miles to the southeast of the Blackburn oil field and 60 miles north of the Railroad Valley oilfield. At the Railroad Valley field one well, the Grant Canyon #4 produced over 4,000 Bopd for 15 years and was one of the most prolific onshore wells in US history. Nevada is one of the only states that has not had a government geological survey done since the 1970's and that was mostly to locate precious metals. Also the surveys for oil/gas were just done with shallow wells and it turns out that most of the oil is found deep underground, although there are areas where that oil has also seeped upward to form shallow pockets of oil which can contain up to over a million barrels of oil.
Dr.Chamberlain has spent the last 25 years doing a geological survey of Nevada. And using that information, Eden Energy has acquired the land over almost all of the 53 mile x 7 mile wide deep oil Noah formation. http://www.oilandgasstocknews.com/OGSN/Articles/Nevada.asp
