CCI has been awarded contracts by several major wireless carriers for construction of 42 cell-sites in the first two months of 2005, with an aggregate contract value of $2.5 million. This represents a 36% increase over the entire prior quarter. According to CEO Mike Novak, "We are extremely pleased to see tangible proof that business is improving dramatically in the wireless sector and look forward to continuing to serve our long-standing customers."
In addition, CCI announced that it has received well over $400,000 of site acquisition and engineering service contracts in Texas, Colorado, and New Mexico since January 1, 2005. The company accepted only $337,000 of such contracts for the prior nine-month period following the inception of these service lines. "This contract volume represents positive market validation for this new line of services for CCI and demonstrates our customers' confidence in our capability to deliver turn-key cellular site development services," said Jimmy Taylor, Executive Vice President of Business Development, CCI-Telecom, Inc.
