TORONTO, Sept 11 (Reuters) - Investors bought Bioscrypt Inc. (Toronto:BYT.TO -News) stock on Thursday after the company said its technology that recognizes fingerprints was being used for security at a U.S. airport.
Shares of Bioscrypt rose 17 Canadian cents, or 14 percent, to C$1.39 on the Toronto Stock Exchange (News - Websites). And with more than 460,000 shares changing
hands by mid-afternoon, the company was on pace for its busiest trading day since
early August.
The Mississauga, Ontario-based company's fingerprint readers are being used at Little Rock National Airport, Arkansas, to secure the facility by restricting access to
high-profile sites.
Bioscrypt's security technology is already installed at Los Angeles City Hall and New
