This question's been posed to Sparky dozens of times over the past few weeks. And for those who haven't been watching, without a pause TGTL share closing prices have increased $ 8.07, a whopping 122%, during the past nine sessions. After a recent low of $ 6.63 on September 2nd, TGTL shares closed yesterday (09/16/2004} at $ 14.70.
And yes, Sparky does have a pretty good idea of what's up, besides share prices.

First off, over 34 million TGTL shares changed at levels over $ 12.50 during the past three months; which makes Sparky confident that the recent walk down to an intraday low of $ 6.10 was completely artificial. So in Sparky's opinion, the steady 8-day climb back to the $ 12.50 level was little more than an overdue correction, simply a return to normalcy.

But more recently, since mid-day on Wednesday, Sparky's heard a few juicy rumors that might also explain the high-volume continuation of this trend that we witnessed Thursday.

Sparky's not sure where these rumors might have originated, but he first learned around mid session Wednesday about circulating rumors that discussions involving either games or acquisitions had begun, or were scheduled to, between Tiger Telematics and Microsoft. And by the end of Thursday's session, Sparky had been informed about similar rumors circulating all throughout the US, literally from coast to coast.

Next question, does Sparky think the rumors are true?

Yes, frankly he does. For those of you have read Sparky's many TGTL posts, he's been predicting since last November, quite boldly, that there will eventually be some arrangement between TGTL & MFST.

And even if the current rumors are premature, Sparky sincerely believes, and has for many, many months, that the two companies compliment each other very nicely.

Gizmondo is about to be the only mobile gaming device that utilizes Microsoft Windows (CE.NET) as an operating system, so why wouldn't TGTL and MFST, in the best interests of each, cut some sort of a deal on games?

MFST already has popular games in inventory, bought and paid for; so why wouldn't MSFT want to see them run on Gizmondo? MSFT knows firsthand that a better game assortment will translate into higher Gizmondo unit sales; and it is from MFST that TGTL is buying its operating systems. It's really a no brainer!

Now as for the likelihood that MSFT would actually acquire an interest in TGTL, well Sparky's not going to be quite so bold as to say yes, it will happen. But stop and think; wouldn't Gizmondo see far greater initial market penetration if it were to have the marketing, production, and retailing power of a company like MFST behind it? And under such a scenario, wouldn't MFST end up selling far more units, Windows operating systems, and games?

This is precisely the type of analysis that's behind most mergers and acquisitions, it's what premium pricing is all about, and it's why longer term Sparky thinks TGTL shares truly do have $ 50 plus potential.

Stay Tuned!
