It LITERALLY separates the ridiculous people that add nothing to these boards, to the ones that are the pristine traders that hold accreditation. Post your ranking. I’d like to see who's for real on this site.

#15? In the whole nation? Off the bat? Out of 500,000+? Come on? I'm at #56 in 8 days, and only traded 4 of them. I will be at #1 shortly. I’m hesitant to believe you were ever at #15 when I have never seen or heard any of your picks. I am VERY vocal about my picks and am always right.

C'mon dude, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It's more valuable to do well in a contest that is based on stock prices at a single point each day than it is to actually make money trading?
The contest is almost totally worthless in determining how good someone is at trading. It has more to do with luck than anything else, because if you put in an order at 10AM to buy something, it executes at 4:00 that day I think. Are you a good trader if it happens to get cut in half before the close and then bounces the next day? No, you're lucky that the trade didn't execute when you wanted it to.

Oh, and investor, if you want to prove your trading abilities and not just be a big talker, sign up for a site like Covestor, where they post your actual trades (converted to % of portfolio so know one knows how much money you are trading per position). It's not perfect because it doesn't consider cash as a position, so it can over or understate your performance, but it proves your entry and exit prices. Using the CNB portfolio challenge as "proof" is stupid.
You're very confident in yourself, which I have no problem with, but I don't get why you feel the need to put everyone else down. Try helping people instead of belittling them. Sign up for covestor and let people get into your head a bit to follow ALL of your trades, to learn from your expertise.

Those are the facts friend, you haven't HEARD of my picks because you weren't LISTENING. I scalped Geppy to bag a quick 200k in the currencies. It just so happens I stayed in cash for the first few days and bought equities towards the end of Thursday. Caught Fridays rally.
Not really anything to brag about since you have 5 portfolios and if you hedge right you can blow a million to make a million.
What investing acumen is involved with that?
It's more like boy scout investing with a prize at the end of it, not something I'm gonna be stroking my wanker over.

Pcola, I actually agree with the argument about closing, but you still need to be a good stock picker. You obviously need to know when to buy and sell. Ranked #29 now and almost won this week’s prize, but was edged out on Friday. I actually sold everything a few days ago expecting a drop, but didn’t get it thus lost the weeks challenge.

Very nice invester and supersniper. Squeeze into the top 6 and win at least $50K.
If this round is anything like last time you can scratch off about a third of the leader board due to cheating or not reading the rules. Folks who are playing more than 5 portfolios under one roof are not eligible. It's fun to watch them win though, and not get a prize.
