Taser International Up; Co To Settle Hldr Suits In 1Q
Shares of Taser International Inc. (TASR) jumped 6.9% to $8.89 after the company said it expects to make the final settlement payment to settle its shareholder lawsuits and its fourth-quarter earnings met analysts expectation. The stun gun maker said it expects to make the final settlement payment of $8 million in the first quarter to settle shareholder lawsuits, pending court approval. In 2006, the company made an initial payment of $7.9 million. Also, the company posted fourth-quarter net income of $2.3 million, or 4 cents a share, on revenue of $19.3 million. Analysts polled by Thomson Financial projected mean earnings of 4 cents a share on revenue of $19.2 million.

guys what do you think of PDGT as the 2nd TASER? i like their friskerPRO and i think it can be as big as the taser....

I'd check into patent issues. If it's just a handheld metal detector, you may have to worry about competitors, unless there is something that gives them a large edge other than just being the first to do it.
That would keep me from buying until I got a better feel for that type of thing. Plus, as always, checking into share structure and dilution.

I like and have done well TRADING PDGT...But, it's still a pink and that is how you have to play it...One of the hardest and in some cases most expensive things to learn is never get emotionally attached to these things...If you feel that strongly about the FriskerPRO and PDGT in general, flip to freebies and hold a few of them long...Always minimize your risk when playing in the bargain bin...GLTY
