Might be a good post, but maybe not all that accurate.
Look at PMFSE, until recently, early June, they had no business operations, and infrequent news. June 6, you could have bought for a penny, by June 19, you could have sold for .021. Understanding, doubling your money means little to some folks here, it was still a heap of steaming crap prior to its run.
SCRH :
Beginning of May, you could have bought for .0075 / .008. May 23, it hit .019, and held at .018 for a couple of weeks. They do have business operations, but look at this :
Generally, I agree that a lot of these "dormant" or "troubled" stocks are just group pump and dumps, but they often are profitable, if you can spot the activity before the run. Check out some of your "heavers", and you will see that if they run/ran, there was unusual volume activity a week or two before they ran. So, your frustration on the surface might be legitimate, but often the results prove different.

Work or no work, the fact is that these "heavers" do run. The trick is to learn how associcate the volume activity, (maybe, group frontloading, MM accuumulation, my grandmother buying, don't care who, what or why), but it is there. If you have to be away from your computer, look at the chart for resitance, the 50MA, is usually a good starting point with these sickies, set your sell for 50%, or wherever your comfort level is, and come home to a nice surprise some day, instead of a 200% beating. Troulbe here is, I see many people scoffing at 50 and 100% gains, they're accustomed to the pump and dumps that yield 500%, and they get greedy usually holding the bag for the intitial p&d boys.

IMO, there are very few ligitimate pennies. You will discover there are two ways to make money in pannyland, (maybe three). Either see what they are doing BEFORE they do it, get in with a group, like a pet mouse in a shrtpocket, or buy into a run, but get the hell out quick with consistant samller profits.

...and half of them never produced an ounce of ethanol or drilled an ounce of oil. Most probably have no idea what the production process is about. I'm not arguing with you. In a perfect world with a fair playing field, your proposition is honorable. However in a real world, where CEO's, MM's, P&D groups rule, you better not rely on your virtue, but you should find a way to spot the larceny in the hearts of the folks that control game, and forget about legitimate. There is no legitimacy here. I don't care what any of these people that own a given stock tell you. Read these threads, go back to CMKX, QBID, PLNI, and soon to be PBLS, they all read the same. You have people taking a .01 to .10 all the time. Does it happen ? Yes, but very infrquently. Then you have many taking a pos to $1 regularly, just nonsence. Learn a different stradegy.

I'm finished. Just go read some old threads and you will see who the same old shameless pumpers are. Anyone believing and following these guys will lose their shirt. Of course they'll tell you they swing trade it, and make unbelievable profits, even though their own posts will contradict that. It's just insane. I can only encourage you to come up with your own style and stradegy, and forget what most here have to say.

Ok think I will try and find those play's. Truth is will has no more insight into how some of these companies work than the rest of us. He is a speculator same as the rest of us. One thing will is right about tho is you have to find your own style. some flip, some ride the momo, and some search for the gem in the rough. All methods work, but you better be good at your chosen method.
BUt the parent is dead on with this thread trying to do any of these things in a defunct company is far far far riskier than doing it on a real company.
xlpi is an open book...I don't own any.
PBLS is the pick I currently have money in. This is gem in the rough play for me. I could be wrong, but I have done enough realy dd on this one to be comfortable.
stocks to stay away from igss, augc, phbt...I'm sure there are lots of others.

recently, I came across MmsV. heard it came under attack of group play..blah blah.. but i had traded it a while ago and left it. its a DHS play, and its working on homeland security vehicles. company has been in function since 1984 and has good business. dont know what price is good for the stock, as that is the toughest thing to predict with these goddamn pennies. another good stock is PECB. same with that one. have read some good reviews about companies products in general. but again, their revenue projections are overhyped. they have put out PR's with revenues that dont really add up but they have good product, and soon can take good control of market like tidycats. those two might be worth DD but dont know what price is good for any of them, and charts currently dont provide any conclusive info on that!

I'm still hanging in their with STTC...Fipped it a couple times and got a couple daytrades out of it........It's a sleeper waiting for a group play in my opinion. But! play the thing fast on the daytrade, then hold some for a possible longer flip.

CKEI. A growing company that is an online heating oil subcontractor. It grew in revenues very well even with a record warm winter against it. It is in a reverse trend and should make a big run soon IMO.
