check it out.....this is going to be the hugest blow up.......PAim announced a 1000 for 1 share divy for the 14th, 17th 3 day settling, since PAIM has been shorted to death by the MM's at .0001 and you can;t get any lower in getting folks to give up their shares, they are going to have to raise the price, and buy up as many shares as they can to cover before the divy date or else they will have to pay a 1000 times more on those shares they've shorted, so this is going to blow up big time.......that's why the volume was at 3.1 billion today.....folks, are you getting the picture???? The buzz is going around the boards and no one is going to give up their shares knowing this....the mm's gonna have to raise the price or else, they';re gonna pay 1000 times more on the divy day!
anywhere at .0005 or below is a bargain......watch the mad rush to get shares tomorrow morning.....if you understand shorting, you understand what shorting billions of shares at .0001 is gonna do when coupled with a 1000 for one forward split........this is going to go insane.

That's funny I had to ask weatherbill the same question. This was his responce. "the preffered shares I hear will trade under another symbol, and I don't think they will trade much at all, but the company set this up so those market makers shorting their stock will have to cover their short positions because of this divy they will have to pay on the preffered shares, so they want to buy back the common shares because stocks cannot trade under .0001 so they have to raise the price to get folks to sell their shares, so the MM:s can cover their butts before the dividend date is my understanding....." This helped me out so I hope it helps you also.

ok, update......someone has put me in check here.....I';ve not been able to get some sleep over this in understanding why the divy would put the MM's in a bind, so please proceed with caution, but I think this is gonna run some because of the massive buzz on all the boards it's getting.......DO NOT HOLD ME TO IT, if this doesn't run and you buy......I AM WARNING YOU NOW.....I do not fully understand this yet and we may have been tricked by others into beleiving in something that is not true......i don't know.....all i know is, this thing is starting to run, but is risky.....for me it is not because I'm in at .0001, but for someone in at .0003, may be a different story......

ok, another update....now I understand this way better.......PAim has been shorted to death, the MM's want to raise the price to get folks to give up their shares before the divy date, or else, the MM's will have to come up with the divy's as well for the shares shorted to all those who hold to the 17th....Those divys will trade under another symbol, but get this, The MM's don't want to pay for those divy's on the PAIM sharers they've shorted, so they're trying to buy back shares of PAIM before the divy day....now the company set up this divy to burn the MM's,.....the divy's are worthless right now, valued at .0000001, but when the comapny does a reverse split on these divy's (not on PAIM shares, but the divy's under another symbol), then they will be worth somthing and tradable and the MM's will have to pay for all those divy's, which will come out of their pockets, get it????
So this stock is going to blow up the next few trading days to try to get folsk to give up their shares.....notice thurs, it traded at .0002-.0003, frday it traded at .0003-.0004......they will gradually raise the price to get folsk to give up their shares and then closer to the divy date, the 17th, they will way raise it....
now the comapny set this up to burn the MM's and someone from another board made the point that if it were just a couple billion shares being shorted, no big deal, so why would the company bother with this divy? WHY?
Becasue there are alot more than a couple billion shares being shorted here.....and a couple trading days is not gonna be enough for the MM's to cover, so you see where this is going?????? Look at the chart and how long the MM's were shorting shares at .0001.....like 6 billion of them have been shorted in like 10 days of trading a couple weeks ago to a few days ago......they still have alot to buy up to cover before the divy date......see where this is going???? They're gonna have to raise the price to get those shares back

I have 1 million. Scared to buy more because of the reverse split that would send this stock under .0001. SEC doesn't allow trades under .0001 anymore. Don't want to be scammed, or my shares to be worthless.

Your thoughts?

there is no reverse split on the PAIM shares and no mention of the preffered divy shares having a reverse split and the company even announced that the ARE NOT doing a r/s dude!

Understadn the situation.......some other day, like months down the road, they will do a r/s on the divy shares only, so they will be tradable.....get it????

the divy shares will not trade under the PAIM ticker, but a completely different ticker and no one will buy them because they are worthless right now......but some time from now, they will probably do a reverse split on those preffered shares, like amybe 6 months from now......that's just a guess.....dude! Understand the situation before you go spreading the word of a reverse slpit....no such thing is even in the mix here.

I would never make a bet on speculation we have the Market Makers over the preverbial barrel...

These guys do not loose that easy...

They trade literaly thousands of stocks and make a fine living doing so..

About the only one who ever beats these guys are the Attorneys and the Fed in the form of settlements and fines..

Nite got cought in a deal..Cost um $90,000,000.00 in fines....Do ya think any of that money went to amateur traders? I don't.

NITES stock went up after the settlement and has never looked back.

Weatherbill, could you post this DD on the PAIM thread. Most of them think the reverse split will happen to PAIM, not some other ticker to be announced.

Pearl Asian Mining Industries 'Naked Shorting' Victim
Business Wire - March 09, 2006 06:00

PASIG CITY, Metro Manila, Philippines, Mar 09, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Pearl Asian Mining Industries, Inc. (Pink Sheets: PAIM) Reports: In attempting to determine why certain market makers seemed to have an apparently unlimited supply of shares offered at $.0001, the company's Investor Relations Officer Richard Miller stated the following:

"Pearl Asian Mining will not do a reverse split in the foreseeable future. The Company believes that a reverse split would decrease its market capitalization, thus helping market makers that nakedly shorted the stock to more easily buy back shares to the detriment of all current shareholders and the company.

"It was discovered that the unsolicited market making activities of its common shares for the past several days of two market makers quoting the stock on an unsolicited basis had mostly held the price of PAIM stock at 0.0001 for those days.

"When the dividend distribution occurs on March 31, 2006, market makers that nakedly sold shares short will not be able to deliver the 1000 preferred shares for every common share shorted to the designated shareholders."

The Company is encouraged by the recently published rules to take effect before the end of this coming summer that will allow the public to have knowledge of the number of shares sold short in companies traded in all OTC markets per Pink Sheets' release: http://www.pinksheets.com/about/pr_021606.jsp.

tomorrow is divy day......if you pick up shares tomorrow and hold, they will give you the divy and once converted, the company said thinking about 500 to 1 on the divy shares in the future, you will in the end wind up with 2 shares for every one you own.....pretty good deal for since being in at .0001
