I understand this is a micro cap board but....I have done my own research on HEC and it looks like it has potential...(however 200 mil market cap may be to high already when compared...not sure)....It is currently at .88 cents....I am just looking for other peoples sentiment about this stock at this time with whats happenign to oil and gas at the moment.....thanks for your opinion!!!

i'm sorry, i can't help but laugh when i see a post about harken: i can only think of our idiotic,k incompetent, and crooked president when i see the name harken.
i am still waiting for anyone on the board to tell me why dubya should have not gone to jail for his selling of 212,140 shares of harken. still waiting for that section 4 to be filed, been waiting for almoat 16 years now in fact...
wiseoldman, i am not cracking on you, and i apologize for not answering your question. maybe it's even a different harken energy. but - i just can't even look at harken seriously, i would personally never want to own it simply because it only makes me think of one thing. everyone time i saw it in my account, i'd just get pissed off thinking about dubya.

Wise...I looked into this. At first I saw the P/E and it looked real good. When looking at the 2005 financials I was less impressed. They had net income of 42 million, however, they had about 60 million in extraordinary gains. So, operations actually lost money.
I've read the update they put out today, but I don't understand much of it. I'm an accountant...can read financial statements, but can't read natural gas production numbers...
So, this could be good. I have my eye on it. Just don't put too much weight on that net income, P/E ratio from last year.

Thanks to both of you I do remeber this being in the dollars amounts a few years back and totally forgot about it until i read the last PR.....maybe blue. is right perhaps it is that same company...THANKS AGAIN for your input

I've lost a boatload on this one -- it was recommended to me by my broker when it was a $6 and then in what seemed like 13 seconds it went into the pennies.....
