i know nothing about anything, but somebody who seems to know more than nothing told me to leave it alone for 3 years (?!)...
that blockbuster ad during the stupid-bowl didn't help..(tho their ad was LAAAME. imagine spending all that money to air such a turd... if you missed it, let me know if you want a recap!) on the other hand .. given how expensive a super bowl ad is, it shows BB is desperate?..probably at least in part *because of* NFLX..? meanwhile Walmart is also trying to steal NFLX's dinner. so NFLX has just had a rough spell fighting back these fat stinking monsters... ... ... but these competitors are a lot bigger! i don't know. probably should just buy more, and put the baby to bed for a while. and pray. maybe do a little voodoo or something.
meanwhile i did see an online poll that didn't look so hot. way too many ppl willing to move over to BB.
sorry to be of absolutely no help. google it up, i guess.

I can't belive what Block Buster is trying to pull...NO MORE LATE FEES...read the small print and notice they are just charging more. Now they charge like $5 for a rental but if you return it early they credit you back 1.80... BUT if you keep it over a specific time they bill you what the movie retails for. .. So you are in fact not paying late fees but buying the disk..what a scam.. wonder how many people kept a movie all month to only try and return it with no late fees just to find out they now own it.
READ THE SMALL PRINT

I know some people who subscribe to it and they are extremely satisfied with it. It also has a high turnover rate. It does seem like quite a gamle so i will probably just steer clear of it. thanks for your input lucy

ppl who are extremely satisfied with which? NFLX? ppl i know like NFLX - one even compared it to the walmart deal and said NFLX was simply a better deal...but then i also heard stuff (online.. hmmm) about ppl getting dirty disks in the mail from NFLX.. or the wrong disk.... hmmmm....
thanks for the info about BB "no late fees" fine print. what a bunch of crooks.

It's simple economics that may assist you in deciding the direction of Netflix.
As more firms enter the industry of Mail-Rental DvDs, profit margins diminish for Netlix and Blockbuster, and it will take some major innovations to make NFLX a 40 dollar stock.

OpportunityK, isn't it important to also consider, that "as other firms enter the industry", the industry itself, an infant, is poised for huge growth? isn't that precisely why they're all jumping in? how many ppl got movies thru the mail last year? how many will do it this year? what about in 3 years? so isn't it just a question of whether NFLX remains #1 or #2....?? (& just how many question-marks are allowed in one post, anyways?)

i wouldn't put my green in stocks on blockbuster, nflx, or any other movie rental business. better growth for your money elsewhere - voip, wimax, spyware, natural gas (anything energy related for that matter), lcd, and of course GTEL
