I know what the "E" on a stock indicates.

Question is how is a stock order treated if it is put in without an "E" and that stock later gets an "E" added. Is it still an open order on the original trade and will it be still be consumated as a trade OR does the trader have to change the symbol to w/an "E" to get it traded?

you should ask your broker....
i think they can't execute an order since the ticker is different if an E is added or dropped....

Who is your broker? Anyway when I owned TALL I had a sell order in for lets say .03. When it change to TALLE for like the 4th time this year my order to sell was canceled and I had to re enter it as TALLE. thats with ameri-trade. Just give your broker a call that is their job and you pay them for it.
