HOUSTON, July 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Remote Knowledge, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets: RKNW), a developer of remote communications solutions, today announced the company will launch its initial sales program for the rk3000 Marine System asset monitoring service at the Marine Aftermarket Accessories Trade Show (MAATS) to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, July 9-11, 2004. MAATS is the premier event of the marine accessory aftermarket attracting buyers who represent more than 90% of the aftermarket purchasing volume in North America. In anticipation of its product launch, Remote Knowledge hired Rick Canada as Vice President of Recreational Sales. Canada joined the Company on May 1 bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience in the marine recreation industry. He previously owned and operated one of the largest multi-line franchise dealerships that included nationally known brands such as Wellcraft, Mako, Formula and Chaparral. His background also includes a general manager position with a full service marina complex. Canada was instrumental in planning the rk3000 product launch through MAATS. The Company also announced the mutual cancellation of the Master Distribution and Sales Agreement with Sea Smart LLC, a wholly owned affiliate of Sea Tow International Inc., reflecting the change in the Company's marketing strategy, the launch of its initial sales effort at MAATS and the establishment of its own sales staff. Both firms are discussing a revised relationship under the new marketing program to sell the rk3000 marine solution to Sea Tow and its membership under the Sea Smart brand. Commenting on the launch, Chief Executive Officer Randy Bayne said, "The rk3000 system represents a significant step forward in monitoring and communications capabilities available to the marine recreation market. Remote Knowledge has now augmented its design and engineering strength with commensurate dedicated channel marketing expertise. By taking this product to market under our own flag, we can address the entire market opportunity and can demonstrate rk3000's effectiveness through direct customer experiences."
