In addition, the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company (TASR: news, chart, profile) received a large follow-on stun gun-order from police authorities in Dayton, Ohio.Taser's shares climbed $4.19, or 10 percent, to $46.28 in morning dealings.
The latest Dayton order is for 265 of the company's X26 stun guns and accessories, said Taser.
Earlier this year, Dayton police ordered 40 X26 units and another 40 of the stun guns were ordered by the Dayton Airport Police Department.
Taser estimates that the total value of the order is $436,000.
