Monday's breakout popped the stock to .49 today up 61% from its close on Friday of .30

Technically it looks like a pull back to around .39 with falling volume over remainder of week

more news
will drive this up to its next level of resistance of .54 – .59 over the next week or so

keep a close eye on this one

AAPH - breakout run being tested today -
Nothing goes straight up! -- the stock reached .61 yesterday but today is clearly looking for support as traders take some profit here -- touching .55 so far this morning - looking for an entry point here or .52 or .48

This story has just begun judging by the strength of its breakout run

American Petro-Hunter's Rooney Project Tests at Over 200 Barrels of Oil per Day With Estimated 500,000 Barrel Potential

2009-12-09 08:00 ET - News Release

SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 12/09/09

American Petro-Hunter, Inc. (OTCBB: AAPH) ("American Petro-Hunter" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the preliminary findings from the initial drill stem tests at the #24-1 Double H Oil Well on the Rooney Project, Kansas.

A 12 foot pay zone was encountered that produced excellent quality 44 degree oil in the tubing up to the surface from 5,400 feet of depth with fluid test results returning 99% oil cut. The strong down-hole reservoir pressure combined with the initial data results have allowed engineers to calculate that the well should be capable of producing in excess of 200 barrels per day. After a review of the 3D seismic data in conjunction with the electronic logs, the potential barrels of oil associated to the #24-1 Double H well and oil pool is currently estimated at 500,000 barrels.

The work over and completion rig has been scheduled to further test the well and prepare it for commercial production. The completion process should be accomplished by December 20th with the perforation of the casing and swabbing of the well. The Company anticipates having the #24-1 Double H well in production by January 1st 2010 at an Initial Production Rate (I.P.R.) of 200 Barrels Per Day.

The Company will announce the results of any additional tests as soon as they become available from the operator. The completion data will provide further information as to what the Initial Production Rates (I.P.R.) will be. The well could prove capable of exceeding the original estimates but the Company and partners may opt to produce the well at rates more amenable to the reservoir in order to maintain pressures and integrity.

Ultimately, daily production rates will be fully established once the well is put "on pump" and the actual barrels of oil produced to the tanks are measured. The first 90 days of production for a new well is critical to determine what the rates may level off to and what rates are best to maintain reservoir integrity. The construction of site facilities including storage tanks and pump-jack have been purchased and are awaiting delivery to the lease shortly after December 20th.

In related news, offset drilling locations are now being engineered and selected on the Rooney lease and the engineering team will be proposing the full development plan shortly.

Please visit www.americanpetrohunter.com to view background information on the project as well as recently posted photos of drilling operations in Kansas.

About the Rooney Project:

The Rooney Project is located in southwestern Ford County, Kansas 20 miles due south of Dodge City and totals 5,120 acres adjacent to the north edge of existing Morrow Sand oil and gas production. Based on a previously conducted 3D seismic shoot, the Company and partners have developed a minimum of 5 target locations to drill that could enable the Company to add 5 additional wells to its portfolio by the end of the third quarter of 2010. The operator of the project is S&W Oil & Gas, LLC of Wichita, Kansas.

About American Petro-Hunter, Inc. (OTCBB: AAPH)

American Petro-Hunter is a goal-oriented exploration and production (E&P) company aiming to become an intermediate level oil and gas producer within 12 months. The company is in production at the Poston Project in Trego County, Kansas and plans to have the Rooney project in production shortly. With the achievable target of becoming a 1000 BOE producer as our goal, American Petro-Hunter is actively on the "hunt" for domestic petroleum assets. Visit us at: www.americanpetrohunter.com.

American Petro-Hunter Completes #24-1 Double H Well -- Prepares for January Oil and Gas Production at Rooney, Kansas

2009-12-15 09:00 ET - News Release

SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 12/15/09

American Petro-Hunter, Inc. (OTCBB: AAPH) ("American Petro-Hunter" or the "Company") is very pleased to announce that the completion program at the #24-1 Double H Oil Well on the Rooney Project is now finished and the well is being readied for full scale oil production.

The well was perforated and swabbed at hourly rates of oil flow in keeping with the Company's original estimates of over 200 barrels per day. The down-hole reservoir pressures have remained strong and steady producing excellent quality 44 degree oil which will sell at top dollar to oil purchasers in the area. Consequently, the Company believes that based on the completion results and recent seismic data, the find represents a significant discovery well in a new reservoir at Rooney.

Natural gas associated with the pay zone will necessitate the installation of a gas separator and hook-up to a gas pipeline located less than 1 mile away. Currently, the gas flow is estimated at between 70 to 80 MCF per day which will generate additional income from the well.

Rods are being positioned in the well and site preparations begin tomorrow for the construction of the tank battery, mounting of the pump-jack and installation of gas lines for hook up. The Company and operator plan to expedite all arrangements towards the commencement of full scale commercial oil and gas production currently slated for January 1, 2010.

The completion results confirm the projected Initial Production Rates (I.P.R.) with a possibility of exceeding those estimates. Final production rates will be based on the needs of the reservoir in order to maintain pressures and integrity. Daily production rates will be fully established once production has commenced and actual barrels of oil produced to the tanks are calculated.

AAPH 2010: Do we have a multi-bagger here?

This is my view on where the stock could be going

Consider their Rooney Project (they have 5 projects, 3 in Kansas, 1 in Texas and 1 in California)

1. Oil is expected to flow as of January 1, 2010 from their successful 200 barrels of oil (BOE) well on the Rooney Project

2. Based on this single well the estimated reservoir size: 500,000 barrels of 44 degree oil - a top-dollar resource

3. AAPH are planning to and will be drilling several (possibly 10) step-out holes on their successful Rooney Project

4. If the 2nd hole hits I believe we can expect their projected earnings will go up 5 fold!

To project a little:
- If AAPH does prove out this field with a total of 10 wells --
- And each well produces roughly the same flow rates (200 BOE). (Note: My understanding is that the drillers and engineers do think this is a very real possiblity.)
- Note also that $35,000 per flowing barrel is the industry standard for this type of reservoir if it was being purchased for cash by a major oil company.
- It could mean: AAPH is sitting on 200 flowing barrels a day, which, over 10 possible wells could be 2,000 flowing barrels a day. Consider then that under this scenario, if this field was purchased by a major, then AAPH would receive 2000 X $35,000 or $70,000,000.

- to add to the fever any investor would be feeling at this point let's take this one step further: 500,000 barrels x 10 wells potentially is 5,000,000 barrels in the ground resource. - these assumptions may be low.

5. Now take a look at the price and shares outstanding. Do the share-value-math for his immanent multi-bagger - it should make you a serious buyer today - IMHO.

Mid-Dec. historically one of the best times to buy stocks.
As we move past mid-month, activity in most stocks is drying up with investors starting to think of activities more festive than trading stocks. Of course, the window of opportunity to pick up great deals will last another week or two, and that window is closing quickly. Mid-December is historically one of the best times to buy stocks. Be selective, and you can end up with a handsome short term profit.

American Petro-Hunter Announces Development Plans for Rooney Oil and Gas Project

2009-12-21 08:02 ET - News Release

SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 12/21/09

American Petro-Hunter, Inc. (OTCBB: AAPH) ("American Petro-Hunter" or the "Company") today announces the Company's 2010 development plan for the Rooney Oil and Gas Project in Kansas. The 24-1 Double H well is moving forward with the commencement of full scale commercial oil and gas production currently slated for January 1, 2010. The assembly of surface facilities including a large tank battery, pump-jack and installation of oil and gas lines is moving ahead as planned.

The Company and operating partners plan to drill 10 wells in the upcoming year. The first offset development well is scheduled to spud on January 25th and following that, one additional well each successive month. This represents a $2.5 million investment by the Company which, if production rates are as anticipated, will be returned through revenue and cash flow on a very short payback.

A review of the Rooney engineering and seismic data has indicated that the newly discovered oil and gas reservoir has a potential aerial extent that exceeds in acreage the size of existing oil fields in the area that have produced in excess of 2.5 million barrels. If the Company successfully drills 10 wells, and should the entire seismically indicated target prove productive, Rooney has the potential to develop into a field containing approximately 3 million barrels of oil based on this comparative analogy.

In order to properly value the Rooney Project, the ongoing development plan will include third party independent reservoir engineering. It is the aim of the Company to establish, as soon as possible, the Proved Developed Producing (P.D.P.) and Probable Undeveloped Producing (P.U.D.) engineering report. The report will be critical in putting a valuation on any and all reserves established by the #24-1 Double H and future wells.

About the Rooney Project:

The Rooney Project is located in southwestern Ford County, Kansas 20 miles due south of Dodge City and totals 5,120 acres adjacent to the north edge of existing Morrow Sand oil and gas production. The initial discovery well, #24-1 Double H is anticipated to begin production at rates over 200 barrels per day. After a review of the 3D seismic data in conjunction with the electronic logs, the potential barrels of oil associated well and oil pool is currently estimated at 500,000 barrels. American Petro-Hunter Updates Preparations for Oil Production at Rooney Project -- Company Adds Additional Acreage to Holdings

2010-01-04 09:00 ET - News Release

SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 01/04/10

American Petro-Hunter, Inc. (OTCBB: AAPH) ("American Petro-Hunter" or the "Company") today announced that site preparations at the #24-1 Double H well are nearing completion in readiness for the commencement of full scale commercial oil and gas production at the Kansas based Rooney Project.

Surface facilities will be complete following this week's delivery of the 600 barrel tank battery thereby ensuring the well will go on pump January 9th at an anticipated rate of 200 barrels per day. The pump-jack, electrical supply and all onsite oil and gas lines have been installed. The natural gas line requires a 3/8th mile tie-in to a nearby commercial pipeline and is slated to be completed shortly.

The Company is also pleased to report that an additional 3 sections of land totaling 1,920 acres have been leased increasing the current Rooney Project land position to over 7,000 acres. With plans to drill 10 wells in the upcoming year at the rate of one new well every month, the added acreage could result in the identification and development of further well locations subject to additional seismic research.

As previously reported, a review of the Rooney engineering and seismic data has indicated that this newly discovered oil and gas reservoir has a potential aerial extent exceeding the acreage of existing nearby oil fields in the area that have produced in excess of 2.5 million barrels of oil. If the Company is successful in its initial 10 well drill program and should the entire seismically indicated target prove productive, Rooney could mature into a full field development project offering a recovery scenario in excess of 3 million barrels of oil based on this comparative analogy.

About the Rooney Project:

The Rooney Project is located in southwestern Ford County, Kansas 20 miles due south of Dodge City and totals 7,040 acres adjacent to the north edge of existing Morrow Sand oil and gas production. The initial discovery well, #24-1 Double H is anticipated to begin production at rates over 200 barrels per day. After a review of the 3D seismic data in conjunction with the electronic logs, the potential barrels of oil associated well and oil pool is currently estimated at 500,000 barrels. The Company and partners have developed a minimum of 10 target locations to drill that could enable the Company to add 8 additional wells to its portfolio by the end of the third quarter of 2010. The operator of the project is S&W Oil & Gas, LLC of Wichita, Kansas. This will rock - does anyone think there is not more oil on Rooney?

points from last NR

600 Barrel Tank battery are moved on site
Goes on pump on Jan 9th - anticipated 200 BOE
Flaring the gas for the first week until the pipe line is complete.
Spud for # 2 is on January 27
10 drills planned over coming year at 1 drill per month
1,920 acres added to Rooney lease which may result in adding more drill locations (depends on seismic research)

if this hole provides a confirmation on the initial downhole logs = 10 more holes = much larger resource calculation every month

- LOOKOUT ABOVE!

next week will prove interesting...

This looks like a nice stock if everything goes as expected.

Bought a little, will buy more if that first well goes on line and produces anywhere near what they say.

We will see in a short time.

News good but, the job's not finished

News release:
http://www.americanpetrohunterinc.co...aspx?nrnum=329

"The Initial Production Rate (I.P.R.) has reached levels of 240 BPD equivalent (10 barrels per hour) at between a 75% to 98% oil cut. The oil to the tanks is actually being limited due to high gas pressures and gas flow estimated at 150,000 to 200,000 cubic feet per day levels (150-200 MCF per day). The operator is working to contain the gas as soon as a tie-in to a nearby pipeline can be accomplished. The high gas pressures have not dropped sufficiently to allow the free steady flow of oil to the tanks at this time. However, once the gas is contained the Company will achieve a definitive assessment of stable production rates which are indicated currently at over 200 barrels per day."

-- production flowed 20% higher that at initial testing... still too much pressure, hmmm... real daily numbers could still be higher... here come the step out wells... let's see 11 wells X say, 200 BOE per day X $80/Barrel = five million plus - and, even though on that project AAPH has 50% Working Interest, 40.75% NRI

that is still over $2 million every month and that does not include the income from the natural gas

still hovering though the stock price is

looks like there is concern over the lack of completion - investors are waiting for final flow rates, a job unfinished could still go wrong.

Weird trading on this stock.

Seems like many days of trading between .60-.61 nothing below nothing above, 70-100 thousand +shares trading.

No dilution checked with TA.

Don't know if that is good or bad, think i will buy a little more, that should fix it.

This one is trying to move up, i think it might have a chance to make a decent move upward.

A little more positive news about the well on line could be the stepping stone.

See what kind of action it takes in the next few weeks.

Moving up slowly, it will be nice when the first well gets completed.

Having the second well being drilled is a plus, but numbers off the first well should send this up another notch if it is anywhere around what they expect.

News release: American Petro-Hunter Announces Details of New Discovery at Rooney Project, Kansas

excerpt:

"The production of oil at Rooney appears to represent the discovery of a new and unanticipated reservoir. This conclusion is based on data resulting from the test of promising 3D seismic information targeting the Morrow sands in the area.

"During the drilling of the #24-1 Double H well, the Morrow formation was intersected with good oil and gas
shows but little porosity and permeability. A timely decision was made to continue drilling to the Mississippian St. Louis Formation where the strike was subsequently achieved. The Rooney is producing oil and gas from this Mississippian Limestone reservoir and will be the primary focus of all upcoming exploration.

"There appears to be great reserve potential in this limestone reservoir given the aerial extent throughout the acreage. The Company and engineers are now drawing direct analogous comparisons to the Ingalls field, which is another St. Louis Mississippian regional producer."

That last PR was not the one i was waiting for.

We need to see that first well pumping, i sure would like to see that pr. by the end of the month, that will get it up to the next level.

It has been trying to creep to the next level just needs the oil and gas numbers released and that should take this stock another big step forward.

investors need to see so kind of confirmation that the company's assertion of a large reservoir is accurate

if it is the breakout will occur at .74 and on volume, of course

I actually made a call to the IR guy today.

I have been trying to figure out why a pipeline for the natural gas would not have been laid when they first started to drill the well.

It appears that they were not expecting the kind of gas pressure they got from the well.

They thought what little natural gas they would get could be stored in a small tank.

This means that if the well keeps producing natural gas at the rate they are getting, then there will be excess profits from the well that were not anticipated.

Makes a lot more sense why the delay and late start on the gas line from what he said, they can't pump the oil until they relieve the gas pressure.

I don't normally call these companies anymore because so many give BS answers, his statement makes sense from what little i understand about pumping oil, but then again it is a penny stock so you never know for sure.

We should know not long from now, one way or the other.

If it pans out as stated there should be a nice spike in the price.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(Marketwire - 02/22/10) - American Petro-Hunter, Inc. (OTC.BB:AAPH - News) ("American Petro-Hunter" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that the drill program has commenced on the Shelor 23-2 well location at the Rooney Project, located in Ford County Kansas. The drilling rig has arrived on the lease and the well is set to spud immediately.

The Shelor 23-2 well is the second oil well to be drilled at the project and is part of our goal to drill one well per month in order to develop the newly discovered reservoir at Rooney. The Shelor location is up-dip and North West from the #1 Double H producing well and is planned for a total depth (T.D.) of 5,400 feet. It is expected to take approximately 7 days to reach the T.D. after which any prospective oil shows will be drill stem tested. In the event of a second commercial producer, the Company plans a rapid tie-in to the existing infrastructure at the Rooney lease.

About the Rooney Project:
The Rooney Project is located in southwestern Ford County, Kansas, 20 miles due south of Dodge City and totals 7,040 acres adjacent to the north edge of existing Morrow Sand oil and gas production. The initial discovery well, #24-1 Double H commenced commercial production from the Mississippian reservoir in January. The potential barrels of oil associated with the discovery well and underlying oil pool are currently estimated at 500,000 barrels. The Company and partners have developed a minimum of 10 target locations to drill that could add 10 additional wells to our portfolio by the end of the fourth quarter of 2010 at a planned drilling schedule of one new well per month. The operator of the project is S&W Oil & Gas, LLC of Wichita, Kansas. The purchaser of the oil production at Rooney is N.C.R.A. of McPherson, Kansas.

About American Petro-Hunter, Inc. (OTC.BB:AAPH - News)
The Company is a goal-oriented exploration and production (E&P) Company aiming to become an intermediate level oil and gas producer within 12 months. The Company is in production at the Poston Project in Trego County, Kansas and at the Rooney Project in Ford County, Kansas. With the achievable target of becoming a 1000 BOE producer as our goal, American Petro-Hunter is actively on the "hunt" for domestic petroleum assets. Trading quite a few shares, still on the rise slowly.

Hopefully this is because they are getting close to connecting that gas line.

My statement was meant to be a joke, obviously by the action on this stock there is a good following!

Point was that there hasn't been the heavy pump that i have seen on boards with this stock.

That might change if we start seeing more days like Friday.

Like i said, i kind of like the gradual increase
and staying under the radar and the heavy pumpers.

Although i will take the increases in the pps.

Maybe Tedw you can answer some questions on this stock that don't completely add up for me.

I have been doing more checking the last few days and not finding out much.

Sounds like you have a better grasp on things and have been in contact with investors and i hope the company.

Looks like it might have been overbought. TRIX pointing down. Look at chart. If this one has more news coming out might be a good catalyst for stock to move up more. Looks like if you were in at .75 you did well, getting in at these prices Risk/Reward too much IMO.
