I live in Orange City Fl, moved down here about 5 yrs ago from Florence SC.
There's alot of southerners on this board aren't there?
My favorite things right now to trade are biotechs, technology, security...and the offbeat like Qbid. I have not been trading long, about 6 weeks online, but for a few years longterm stuff.
I don't know if I can do the daytrading thing, I would like to. I have alot to learn before I could attempt that though. I feel more comfortable at this point just doing short term to long term trading. Of course with that type of trading I am looking for the best gains possible.
I have a question though. How many people here have honestly taken 10k and made 100k out of it within a year? I started with 50k,and I don't even have all of that right now(hopefully that's temporary)... so show me how to be a millionaire please!!! LOL
I have several stocks that I consider to be keepers for at least a year, but am trying to fine tune this portfolio to get the most out of it. Chris, how much should I be reasonably making off of 50k in a month?

Well hi I will first say nice thread . I do all kinds of trading long, medium, short intraday, even intra-10minutes. Like bottom fishing once in a while, rolling, daytrading, outbreaks, rebounds, growth, income producing, and by the end of this month begin shorting some of the big boys. I didnt start with the 1000 to be honest 6000 but Ive made it over a hundred-thats enough of that. Live in NC, right above Charlotte. 24 yrs old started trading around 21-paper traded 2 yrs in high school. Decided thats what I wanted to do and am in the process of attaining a Bacholor degree in finiance to help the goal. Best advice to give anyone is when you get over the 100 find realestate to buy and generate yourself a postive cash flow, I have a few ventures I have made retail, wholesale, renting, selling cars (4 times), I work usually about 50 hours a week, and place a third in 401k pretax. IF/When I reach 3 million )Ill quite my job older I get the amount I have to obtain drops. I dont dicuss what I have but when that time comes to retire Ill tell yall then . I day trade a bit different than the books teach you. I like daytrading stocks below 6.00 wait for a momentum play like Mace bought at 5.00 1000 shares and sold when tren reversed 5.35 $350 dollars. Far as what you make a month. Jan Feb and March were awesome now last 2 months have slowed down alot. If you are using my method on pennies. Buy cover and a little something extra then hold for 10x. I try to to watch all the stocks news on the 10xers but at one time I had quite a few in waiting docks if they have some terrible news and you think they are still good buy back the shares you sold at a lower price than you sold. Its hard to say how much a month cause if a few mature together you can have a 50k month on 5 stocks you have a 1000 dollars from orginal price. Like you bought onev at .016 2000 dollars (125000 shares) sold at .035 60k shares putting a hundred in your pocket minus commisson and leaving yourself 65k shares to sell after .16 when downtrend begins at .16 would be 10400 dollars. if it ran to .25 and started climbing downward say you sold at .20 13000 dollars. jan to march this year is the most 10 baggers emerge in a 3 month time frame. Reasonably in the cross market of pennies and big stocks Id say between 10 to 15 % right now number could be higher but this adds in a few screw ups like my palr and cinme I refused to get rid of when it started dropping. I think this number is a little low but very very realistic. (not counting 10 baggers) and that is a average month. Plus if you have the funds dont forget the power of averaging down. Im not a millionaire yet but hope to be one someday, I cant wait to go to my high school reunion and when people are talking about how good their jobs are look at them and say "You still work for other people" and laugh. But we will get there one day at a time. And again sorry for the delayed response very happy to have you abroad. Thinking about listing the picks on seperate threads not sure though I like that our board isnt full like the rest of allstocks. Well hope more people give their interviews if you havent posted before step out and be accepted to our group(we'll either be in the poor house or sitting on the yacht talking about old times lol)

HI Chris,
Thanks for your info. My biggest problem now is knowing when to exit a trade. I think I've been missing alot of opportunities to make money by holding too long. I've also bought some things too high...like FMDAY at 2.00...

When to exit is a million dollar question. if you believe in the stock high if it has a pattern follow it unless you think something will change its pattern. CDED been playing it low to mid .06s to low the mid .07s for a while 10 to 15% moves. Whats you situtation with trading are you avaible though out the day or you place orders and find out what happened later. About buying too high if you have the capital average down (can be dangerous cause if it drops then you lose twice as much.) I usually do it. Bc if I bought the stock unless some bad news has came out I know where it will return (or at least I think I do). Question I have for you is what turned you onto onev. where did you find it? well talk to you again

I found onev on some message board, somebody said check it out and gave their website. I went there and read that, then pulled up dd on them and thought I should buy.
What potential do you think Onev has?

Hey Sarah,

I am in the same boat as you. However, I have been trading since last October. I live in Longwood, Fl. (just across the river from you - I swear I am not going to live on that side of death bridge and work over here -- LOL). I didn't start reading the boards until around March. I have been doing DD and playing the momentum on news to trade. Boy was I in for a rude awakening. Thanks to allstocks and some on it, many questions have been answered and I have learned a lot. Chris is like my sensei, he has guided me in the right direction. I told him that I used a dollar amount on the exit point and he said use a %. Since I only have a little money to invest, it is hard to get good returns. No matter what, I am following as many people that make money and watching their picks. I wish I had some to invest in ONEV, but I am capped out right now. I have a friend who started in pennies 4 years ago and is now investing in 5-15 dollar stock. He buys and sets his sell at .34 cents. It nets him about 340 bucks per trade normally. By doing this (oh, he trades about 3 per day) he is on course to profit over 200k this year. However, there are some lucky ones that he forgot to hit confirm and sold at opening the next day with a dollar sell. LOL. Anyways, that is how I try to trade right now. I just get my buy and then set my sell. Remember, If you sell and it keeps going up? Any profit is good profit. Good luck to you. Listen to Chris. He is great. Oh yeah, I moved from NC around 4 years ago.

You make me blush Jimbo_-your a most honarable student then I wouldnt take the lost on account of commission set a sale at double your entry. when you buy more in the .02s average your enteries and make that your enery double it as your new exit.

Thanks Chris, however, I am capped out. Remember, I am the one that only started with $500 and then too a huge loss with CMKY. I would of doubled up when it went into the 2's but couldn't. I am just holding right now and am watching the boards and market. I have just started to read Toni Turner's "a Beginners guide to Short Term Trading" since I have now read RDPD again. The main thing I am trying to do is to take your picks and others and see what it is that you guys see. I am looking at the picks and trying to see How you guys do it. Maybe when I have been doing this for some time (by retirement age ... I am 35 now) I will finally understand it. LOL Thanks again and yeah, I hope you do laugh at people when you go back to your HS reunion. Cuz they all laughed at me...I became a teacher. But... I had a year of living in Australia and they didn't.

Well my real name is Keith.. I'm from Brooklyn NY but currently I live in Kiev Ukraine.... I started trading stocks when I was 16 and started seriously trading about 2 years ago... I doubled my money last year but so far this year I'm minus 15% overall (I went in heavy on LOOK) ....

Mostly I like to go long on stocks but I'm looking to chop that down a bit into 2 week or 3 week trades.

HI JImbo,
Since we live so close maybe we can swap Tony Turner books, I haven't read short term trading, but I have daytrading
I don't blame you for not wanting to live beyond the I-4 bridge if you don't have to. I don't work in Orlando so it's all good for me. What part of NC are you from?
Chris has been great to me so far. He has helped me get my mess of stocks sorted some. I have to get it cleaned up. Oh Chris, CDED will be profiled on CNBC either tommorrow or next Sunday at 11am on Let's Talk Stocks. I don't know if now would be a good time to sell this stock. Thanks for helping me this morning Chris.

Hi keith,
My cousin is a missionary in the Ukraine. She's been over there for about 15 yrs now.
How do you like it there? I don't think she'll ever come back to stay, she bought a house there. Good luck in your trading. Your Look sounds like my Fmday....

Sarah,

Unfortunately I borrowed from the Seminole public library. I haven't bought it yet. I normally do that and if I like it, I buy it. Makes me read it twice. If I get it, we can trade. But I hate reading to tell you the truth. I am an audio book listener. I haven't yet found any stock audios though. And Happily I don't work in Orlando either. I work in Heathrow/Lake Mary. So I don't have to fight that traffic either. woo hoo. I am from Fayetteville, NC. Grew up there and moved down here about 4 years ago.

You can email me at: j r stock trading@yahoo . com (without the spaces)

Keith,

Small world. I have a friend of mine that I went to college with who did his Peace Corps stint in the Ukraine. Got messed up really bad when some hoodlums jumped/mugged him in Kiev. He now lives in Brooklyn. LOL. Enjoy trading. Look forward to all of your input and teaching.

How ironic.. I keep hearing about Kiev's famouse hoodlums (I live in kiev now).. and let me tell you... I've lived in some real **** holes... actually my first room that I rented here was in a crack house!!... I never had any problems with hoodlums though...

But yeah.. Ukraine is great.. I love it here.. I can relax chill out and most of all not spend a lot of money (I'm a greedy *******)... I do however really miss NYC.. but then again.. NYC is about the only thing I miss in the USA so I think I'll be staying here and taking vacations there...

About missionaries.. yeah there seems to be a LOT of them around here.. which I don't really understand.. as my girlfriend put it "There arn't people that need to be saved in their countries???" ... I'm not religious at all so I guess I wont ever understand it.. but I do work with religious people and I do have to say they do have some bad ass connections.

Keith,

I know what you mean. I lived in Australia for a year and didn't want to come back. As fate would have it, I am here. Glad you like it. Ever been to Prauge in Czech Republic? That is as far east I went in Europe when I traveled. Want to get to your area one day. Maybe if I make the 100,000 I can go back???

My friend wasn't a missionary, however he said that there were some over there, he was in the Peace Corps.

Taken from online site:
The Peace Corps traces its roots and mission to 1960, when then-Senator John F. Kennedy challenged students at the University of Michigan to serve their country in the cause of peace by living and working in developing countries. From that inspiration grew an agency of the federal government devoted to world peace and friendship. http://www.peacecorps.gov/index.cfm?shell=learn.whatispc

David, from Ann Arbor, MI. I'm 26, double majored in accounting and finance, work at a large public accounting firm, and hope to come across some ideas in the next few years that will allow me not to work for anyone else. Looks like this is a good place to start! Just started playing with short term trading in the last few weeks. I am down a little bit, but I'm only playing with a small amount of money until I learn more.

Hello all, I am from Fairfax VA. and live in Charleston South Carolina. Have been captivated by allstocks (this is my first time on this board) and just watching everyones picks for a few months now and jumped in a couple of weeks ago. So far I am treading water. My biggest mistake is not taking the profits and running and getting eaten up by Scottrades commissions. I just opened an Ameritrade account for the pennies, any advise on that? Just to throw in a potential pick - MPE (was MPOW) was brought up by Dardadog on the Hot Stocks Free For All, it just made the switch from OTC to AMEX yesterday and no change in price yet, I don't know how long I should hold on waiting?

I use scottrade... the key to scottrade is to make sure you are at least a hundred bucks ahead when you sell.

Dan - 57 year old Engineer/Land Surveyor
in Tucson. Have been investing (maybe playing is a better term) in pennies about 3 months and so far am not doing much good.
Think I came in with the attitude of "investing" and have since came to the conclusion that you usually shouldn't stay in a penny.
Take the 15 or 20 percent and get out.
Have been influenced too much by pumpers so am now sitting here waiting for the stocks to get back to my purchase price. Obviously need and would appreciate any help you can give !!
Have noticed Chris and Sarah have some great ideas and wish I'd have gotten here before tying up all my funds !!
