Any good trader knows the trading is alot like a battle , when you go into battle do you want the person you are fighting to know what your next move is??? Do you stand up with a red shirt on and yell here I am???
No you don't you keep your head down stay close to the ground and sneak up on the side your fighting thats how battles are won.
I know there are a few groups of people that are in trading clubs they meet at someone's house or where ever, come up with some picks and make there trades and they make lots of money. I think it's odd that anyone would say I think we should post or picks so I can see them, yeah you will get to see them and so will the rest of the world, even a M/M.
I think if we email the picks this will give us some sort of edge. Has anyone noticed that since the club decided on CTKH as one of our first picks that it has gaped up on open every monday??? And what happened??? Alot of people bought in too high. If we would of had an email for the group I could of told the club members to wait to buy till the gap was filled and you would have made more money. There are alot of wolves here and alot of sheep I hope you know who you are. Anyone who says I'm not going to be posting here because I can't see all the picks or email is too complex you have to question there motives. I know one thing that email does is it protects the group, you won't be able to pull a pump and dump because no one will be able to get a position in before the picks are sent unless they already have a position. Another thing email helps prevent is copycating , someone you all trust posts there picks and all the newbees say yeah I like those picks too, then the dump there shares on the market to the club and we lose money. If you guys don't trust me with handling the emails I can talk to the webmaster and we can come up with an email that me and him can keep track of instead of the club e-mailing me.
Best Wishes,

An E-mail site sounds good to me. In the back of my mind, even before we started this site, I was worried that outsiders would take
advantage or our picks. Also I didn't want people to say that we talked about a stock just so that we could sell it when other people bought it and sent the price up. And when I can get the time, there are some picks
that I would like to post, if you find something wrong with them, then you can pick them apart. Picky picky is good, it keeps us/me from buying a bad stock.

ANOTHER THOUGHT
I have noticed some posts that list "nano" stocks. Since this is an emerging area of intrest could we take those companys and sort out the top five? I have had some success in diversifying. Five companys have a better chance of rising to the top thru takeover or just good operations.

Sounds good van I know that the top five best nano stocks are large cap stocks. They were talking about them on cnbc a few days ago, It would be nice to see where these nano stocks are going and make for some good info.

An email list sounds fabulous.

Or a password protected site - that way you select who enters.

I've read through the posts for this club, and I am interested in joining.

I've never traded stocks under $1, although I've traded stocks under $5 and I also trade options.

This is the first time I've ever posted to a discussion board, so forgive me if I make a posting etiquette error.

Is the club still open to new members?

Thanks,
Marcy

Go to "Club Picks by email" and sign up
A couple months ago I also was in same boat. Penny are Technical not fundamental. Most traders are looking for momentum.
If thread mentioned is not on your screen click at top "SHOW TOPICS" use 30 days, I don't know why OFFSHORE closed thread tried to bump it to top.

Also intrested in your options expierience. I only sell covered calls but have made some nice change from time to time, my problem is identifing stocks that will make good candidates, it is very possible I don't fully understand strategy.
Had ICN 200 @cost 7.44 Sold 2 calls @ 2.60 May04$20 Stock moved from Nasdaq(ICN $15) to NYSE (VRX)$25 has dropped back to 23.50. Wondering wether I should buy back ?

Thanks, I have added myself to the list.

I didn't have much success with covered calls because like most beginners, I went for the high premiums without paying much attention to the underlying. The hype is that you can continue selling premium on the underlying but if the price of the underlying drops significantly, so does the premium.

Now I buy calls or puts. Still a beginner but it's fascinating.

Have learned a tremendous amount from the Optionetics Web site, both from the articles and reading the discussion forum.

I am new here but offer the following on your list if NANO's

I only found three that were of interest to me because of volume. They are all low but these at least trade over 1000000.

None revealed any imminent change but are worth following over the next several days. I would watch for volume (as always).

You can correct(edit)your responce without a new responce.
What I am trying to do here is get my arms around this technologhy,Identify several that will move on, looking for help? I buy larger stocks that provide a lot of data. I think your postwith technicals will get a responce and moves us in a direction. Once this is moving along I have another exiting one.
