It is estimated that there are at least 11 million illegal aliens in the US.

11 million people is also about how many people there are in the 10 least populated states in the US.

And a lot of them have ID's. Fake, but identification. A volunteer registrar isn't going to be able to tell the difference.

after 9-11? all banks and brokerages were REQUIRED BY LAW to comply with know your customer

Jump to: navigation, search

Know Your Customer (KYC) refers to both:

The activities of customer due diligence that financial institutions and other regulated companies must perform to identify their clients and ascertain relevant information pertinent to doing financial business with them
And the bank regulation which governs those activities

In the USA, KYC is typically a policy and process implemented to conform to a customer identification program (CIP) mandated under the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act[1]. Know your customer policies are becoming increasingly important globally to prevent identity theft, financial fraud, money laundering and terrorist financing.

KYC controls typically include below details:

Collection and analysis of basic identity information (CIP)
Name matching against lists of known parties (such as politically exposed person)
Determination of the customer's risk in terms of propensity to commit money laundering or identity theft
Creation of an expectation of a customer's transactional behavior
Monitoring of a customer's transactions against their expected behavior and recorded profile as well as that of the customer's peers.

Banks doing KYC monitoring for anti-money laundering (AML) and checks relating to combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) increasingly use specialized software such as names analysis software and risk scoring algorithm software. Typically, these software systems will identify potentially suspicious or risky customer accounts. The systems create "alerts" which are then subject to manual due diligence or Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) investigative processes.

KYC has different connotations and the definition above is from an AML/CFT perspective.

Know Your Customer processes are also employed by companies of all sizes for the purpose of ensuring their proposed agents', consultants' or distributors' anti-bribery compliance. Banks, insurers and export credit agencies are increasingly demanding that customers provide detailed anti-corruption due diligence information, to verify their probity and integrity.

Some specialist consultancies help multinational companies and SMEs conduct Know Your Customer processes when entering new markets.

so, ANYBODY who collect any checks form anywhere is required by law to provide this information in order to cash or collect them.

I go thru a whole pile of this every year..... There is no way that people who vote legally are being inconvenienced any more to vote than they are to collect a social security check.

it's a bunch of BS that peopel cannot get ID. If they can't get ID they can't get money from ANY bank ever.

honest to god, you have to take the 10 least populated states adn add them all up to equal thenumebr of illegal alien that are ESTIMATED to be in this coutnry.

it may be that we have fewere illegals now than we did in 2007, but it's still over 11 milion... which really means it was way worse then estimates...

bout 11.5 million illegal immigrants were living in the United States in January 2011, a figure essentially unchanged from the 11.6 million in 2010, according to the latest estimates by the Department of Homeland Security, which were based on 2010 census figures. Georgia saw the greatest increase between 2000 and 2011, with the number of illegal immigrants there increasing by 95 percent to 440,000. The number of illegal immigrants in the country peaked in 2007 at 11.8 million, the demographers found, and has been declining.

that is not racism, it is not discrimination. it is just common sense.

I'm not saying don't do the law. I'm saying on the grand scheme it doesn't solve anything. Fake ID's up here are good enough to get you a job with the state that requires a background check.

If the process to check real or fake isn't in place then just requiring ID's at the door is a farce, and state ID authentication systems aren't good enough. The most you will do is scare off a small percentage from trying to vote which themselves were only a small percentage of the total illegal population which itself is only a small percentage (3.7%) of the American population. Lots of flash, no sizzle.

thos etypes of ID cost alot of money tho right?

i mean if they are doing backgorund checks properly? The Fake ID has to be tied to a real person who is either dead or off the grid so far that nobody catches the "double entries" at teh social securit admin...

oh wait the social security people DON"T do that cuz they would actually catch all these people if they did....

my wife and i both had federal background checks and they went our elem schools to verify us.... they shoulda asked my teachers what they thought of me- i know they didn't cuz they woulda never passed me if they did [Smile]
