if you saw waht my fingers look like after siz stragith weeks of glassblowing? you'd know why i was coplainin'. I got blisters with callouses on 'em, fortunately one callous is perfet for the tiny widdle dot. I've avoided the touchscreens for a few years cuz they had so many flaws to work out. I prefer to wait until a new tech has been perfected to waste my hard earned money on it.

I do like the new phone. Esp how i can do inventory at the gallery right on the phone now. I was using alaptop and camera before and now i don't need the PC or the nikon at all. [Big Grin]

yeah, it's taking me awhile to figure out everything i can do... i got the 8 gig chip, but i haven't set up a gmail acct to download music yet...

it docks with the PC and the PC sees it as storage device which is cool too.. really does mak inventory a lot easier...

Glass...I just got rid of my HTC HERO after a year of nothing but problems...the processor doesn't have enough horsepower to do what the phone is capable of, and then the damn thing started "resetting" itself (When that happens you will lose everything...contacts, screen setups, apps, etc.)

I just got the HTC EVO about a month ago and it is 10 times the phone that the HERO is...Much faster processor, larger screen, larger buttons for your (fat calloused fingers), much better navigation abilities, better camera (it actually has 2 cameras) etc. etc. etc. By far the best smart phone I have ever had...and I have had a lot of them...

Whatever you do...set up a gmail acct and sync your contact list with it...all your contacts will be saved there, and if you ever lose them you can recover them by simply re-syncing with your gmail account...

i was told by the younger folks that are emptying our refrigerator at an increasingly alarming rate that those problems were solved in the latest version. The Evo was not one of the phones i could choose from at our provider, but i will keep it in mind if i am unhappy with this phone..... we only had the hero, the wildfire and the desire to choose from, the wildfire is brand new so i passed ( i try to let other people be beta testers when it involve my money [Smile] i'll be happy to beta test a FREE phone tho ), and the desire is overpriced IMO... besides i don't like the name of thedesire, i watch too many teens falling in love with their phones and suffering from phone envy that i just can't get past the name [Wink]

i do save to my memory chip regularly and i will set up the gmail account and sync it as you recomend to do backups too.... i am trying to figger out how to sync it to my PC too... and now i find i want a pair of bluetooth stereo headphones now too....

i do have a habit of touching the screen at the worng time with a thumb and messing up dwonloads etc..

i am reminded of Fred Flinstone taking pictures of his pinkie or thumb [Big Grin]
