i expected this. Obama promised not to raise taxes on us poor people, so he tried to make it a fine...
the simple fix will be to go and make it a tax and it will pass muster...
then he can be called a liar to his face...
single payer is still coming folks... let's hope that it will be layered so that those of us that want to buy premium insurance can do so...
as the GOP's and Obama "compromise" to add another 0.9 trillion$ in debt to US folks? i want to remind peoples that when you begin cutting Govt jobs? you will pay much more than it costs to keep them employed... much much more.....
there is already a suspicious set of arson on "rich peoples" homes.... this will get so bad that we will all be spending all our time protecting our own property that we won't even have time to go to work...
this is what happened in France and Russia too... The wealthy are only wealthy at the consent of the unwashed masses... this lesson was learned long ago, and should not have to be relearned...

What did you think of the Michigan ruling by a federal judge that is WAS constitutional. I don't recall you posting about that. There was a couple other cases also I believe where it was ruled constitutional. Nothing will be resolved before it reaches SCOTUS. Sorry to burst you're tiny bubble.

absolutely true... SCOTUS is most likely to allow it under the the commerce clause...
just like they found a way to rule against medical marijuana even tho there is absolutely no foundation in the Constitution to regulate what we eat and drink... they KNEW this at eh trun of the last century and that's why they had to pass an ammendment to ban alcohol... times chnage, but he Constitution is still the same one... the Judges change, and NONE of them are for smaller Govt, the Conservatives on SCOTUS are actully the ones that make the Govt more powerful and oppressive, not the liberals
the GOP lied about cutting the deficit- they didn't "lose their way" last time they were in charge, they've NEVER cut tgovt spending ever. they've only stimulated the economy so revenues would catch up to spending, and that has always led to "bubbles"...
bubbles are stupid word fro what actually happens to individual people too

You would think that Obama being a Harvard law guy would know that the constitution does not grant him the power to force people to buy healthcare, and fine them thousands of dollars if they chose not to.
I have been against the mandate since this special interests bill was passed. Not all of the bill is bad, it just needs tweaking.

Obama was for single payer. he caved to the insurance co's and the people crying about how they will die if we get single payer. he caved to the peole who said that it is unfair for the insurance co's to have to "compete" against the Govt. funny hting? the smae people who say that also say the Govt can d nothing right and point to the post office for example... They ignore the fact that we have the most powerful military int e world and it's operations are overseen by Civilians service people
