He's on meet the press right now.

as of today, only 10% of the stimulus package has been spent.
he's trying to make it sound like a bad thing.

i'd say that's a good sign.

One of the critiques I read on that note is that a bulk of the money is going to be spent right before the mid term elections next year as a 'boost' in areas where key Dems are facing tough reelections.

Not sure of the validity (or lack thereof) of the critique, but I would assume that this is related to McCaine's issue.

Because they are going to try to spend as much money as they can while they have the power to. Im not wrong if you look at the spending done, and the spending the plan on doing.

comeon folks.

i've been posting the evidence why right here since even before the doodoo splattered off the fan.

we collapsed already. the collapse happened and it was bad.
real bad- we'd be at 25% (advertised, 40% real) unemployment right now if the bailouts we've done didn't get done and fairly quickly.

the fact is? we've been borrowing too heavily for years.

borrowing more? it's a last shot at maintaining an economy that even remotely resembles what we have been accustomed to.

we've been gutted.

i am looking at RE right now in AZ. i can buy a 350,000$ in 2007 for less than 100,000 today.

there's this one custom on 9 acres that i really like that i doubt i could get for less than 700,000 in '07 that's only 167,000 today. the land wouldn't have sold for that in '07...

we were invited to raid our own Capital in this country by our leaders. dem and gop both.

most of us just did it. i can't beleive the deals i'm seeing

RE prices will stay down for a while now...no two bones about it.

The bad thing is I'm not likely to make much off my current place. The good thing is that affording the my wife's dream farm just became a lot easier if I am smart about how I move things around for the next year or two.
