Here is a question. Why isn't veterans day a holiday that is observed like MLK's birthday? Offices are closed and schools are out for MLK, but for veterans day its just a good news story for a few minutes.
Harvard is the only school among the eight Ivy League institutions to cancel classes for Veteran's day. Seven of the eight (not Cornell) have no classes on MLK day.

Why must you find conspiracy, fault etc. in the Left all the time? geez. Why don't you do some research and find out for sure if it was the Left that excluded Veteran's Day before you throw accusations: VD became a national holiday under Dwight Einsenhower and in case you didn't know your history he was Republican and an ex General. If anyone had anything to do with not making it the holiday you wanted it would be him. An ex military guy.

I believe it was felt that Veterans Day would be best served by keeping the kids in school and make it a day to highlight the service of the American Hero's that came before them. It's a way of letting the next generation know why they have the freedoms they do. MLK day probably would have been better served in the same manner,as most people just use it for pleasure rather than reflect on the man's life.

Perhaps but i do not go out of my way to make multiple threads that say the Right are conspiring to do this or that... and if i attack the right i look to back it up most times with some sort of fact or article... Moo man doesn't most of the time as evidenced with this thread and others he has created... to him if he can't explain it then it must be the Left... while at least I try to explain why I think it's the Right and not just throw accusations... I am sure that if Bob could throw out statistics somehow as to how many Left bashing threads Moo man has done versus me especially with no backup facts other then what he gets from Rush/Hannity etc. that it would show i hardly sneezed... even you have to admit that...
And btw I wouldn't call my reply to Cow's thread on Veteran's day Right bashing. I merely stated a fact and backed up with when Veteran's Day was made official and who was in charge at the time and signed it into law...

Any ideas as to how Obama is going to handle the gay officer who recently came out of the closet?
Obama's in a tough spot, first Trump let's the beauty queen keep her crown, partly based upon the assumption that her views on gay marriage mirror Obama's. And then this Army officer announces he's gay and wants to stay in the Army. I can see Hollywood having a problem here.
