No,no,no..... not what your thinking if your thinking what I think your thinking. I want to get my product either in their retail stores or their scouting magazine. The guides I design go hand in hand with alot of the badges they earn. But I have never been a salesman and today if you arent some huge distributor or know someone in pretty much any company you can't get by the receptionist. This is what I want to get in. http://www.northwoodsguides.com/Posts: 492 | From: new york | Registered: Jul 2005

You might think on the order of buying advertisements in some of their publication.

A quote from a sargent in boot camp.
That old line is about as fresh as not yet composted manure and smells like it too.
Even if it is taken to be appropriate on its face, it has a couple of problems.
First, shouldn't the knowledge of that sargent be queried, particularly to learn if he is a bit off base with his belief that he has any proper basis for evaluating Texas?
Second, are you sure that sargent has made careful enough observations of what is in view and has good enough eyesight to be drawing conclusions about what he sees?
Brandying about "cliches" or "sayings" almost always requirs making inappropriate and illogical assumptions about things that are not so simple as they appear to be. Of course, doing so is asking the listener to retain similar ignorances, without bothering to get the listeners permission. For example:
When one accepts the truth or validity (or even the utility) of the old saw about the reason a chicken crosses a road is to get on the other side, one is beforehand assuming some truly amazing things to be fact that have a quite large probability of not being:
Can a chicken conceptualize a road? Sides of a road?
Is a chicken able to plan far enough ahead to "decide" to cross a road, for whatever reason?
Does a chicken care what side of a road it is on, if her can care?
What if there are two chickens and the one in question crossed the road purely from wanting to follow the other, never having thought of roads or sides of roads or what is meant by crossing or even "getting" somewhere?

It is like modern art. It is up to the viewer to be able to "see" what is said. It usually takes some practice and some aren't willing to invest the effort. That's a statement too.

Modern art like a painting made of manure?

Bdgee actually helped me out on this one. I picked up their catalog and made a contact through that. Their purchasing agents are located in North Carolina not Texas. So far so good,I should know in a couple weeks if they pick them up but he was very positive on them.
